itunessetup.exe removal

Last night i downloaded itunes on to my laptop. The first time I saved the itunessetup.exe file on my desktop, but when i tried to install it, an error message appeared saying i was downloading the 32 bit version and my system required the 64 bit version.

I couldn't worked out how to remove the itunessetup.exe file so I just deleted and then deleted it from the recycle bin.

Was this the best way to remove the file? it was quite large maybe 89MB i don't want it clogging up my memory.

I have since downloaded the correct version of itunes without a problem

If nothing was actually installed from the 32bit version then yes what you did to remove the file was the correct method. One slight correction in your post, the file was taking up space on your laptop hard drive not the memory.
