You need to call your vodafine customer service number. You don't even need to speak to a real person.

Cool, what info will I need to provide if I ring that number? Phone is only a day old so not 'registered', do I just give them the mobile number/info off the box or what?

Don't want to be on the line too long as I'm gonna be ringing them from my friend's mobile!

Not too sure on voda, but just have:
SIM card number - this is the number on the SIM card (pretty long)
IMEI Number - behind the battery of your phone
Phone number - your phone number

I called from a landline and I think I only needed the phone number. Good security isn't it. Thank god I'm not with vodafone (it was a work phone).

It was very interesting when I called from my friend's mobile, everything was automated so once I had entered the number of my phone the machine told me my PUK code.

Also got GPRS working, cost me 25p to ask them to activate it on my SIM though - Gonna need a toup now as my 3p that I had left after the call seemed to disappear very quickly (It is supposed to charge me 0.1p for every 10kb!)

Are you sure? That'd be 10p/Mb, which is veeeeery cheap. It'll probably be more like £0.01 per 1kb.

Oh yes, 0.1p per KB, How big is a average Voda live! page?

Will have to see the running costs properly when I get a topup - I think it might have rounded the cost to the nearest penny.

Hmm, does anybody elses battery cover 'move' a bit without having to push the lock down?

Was messing around with the XPRess on covers last night, whats the most reliable method to get them back on properly since it seems every tme I try to do it there's a bit on the bottom left that I can 'push' in slightly

only the mobile number is needed when requesting the PUK.

I once rang orange for PUK and they demanded, name, adress, password......

I remember when Vodafone PAYT first came out, you had to ring up for the balance, when you got through you had to enter mobile number, was for checking my mates had credit before texting them!
