What a surprise Martin was on Duty in that part of the Hospital at the moment. Is there any dept that he has not worked in.

LOL!!

Martin's run that hospital singlehandedly for years. It's taken them this long for the writers to let him share his workload with someone else: Karl

corrie built this fire up to be some sort of huge fireball. how dissapointed was i. it was completely rubbish. if corrie are going to do stunts they need to do them well.

Totally agree. The problem with a lot of spoilers is that they get hyped up as being something wonderful & nine times out of then you end up being disappointed.

Things like the Todd & Nick "kiss", Tommy & Martin's "punch-up" in the Harris's back yard etc were all let downs purely because they'd been hyped up by the press releases.

LOL!!

It should have been Tracy. Kate Ford is so wooden that there wouldn't have been anything left of her to bury or cremate!

For me the fire paled into insignificance as there were important questions that needed to be anwsered in that episode, number one - just why has Martin dyed his hair that strange shade of orange, and just how high can Maria's voice go. During that final scene with Nick she reached a pitch that must of been sending every dog in the vacinity mad.

I cant stand Marias voice, and he accent is unlike anything ive ever heard before ... where exactly is she supposed to be from, and why does she miss the end of each and every word (or should that be wor..... )

And is it me, or is she trying too hard to me like Karen McDonald ?

My husband mentioned last night that her face / mannerisms when she has a go at someone are very much like Karens, but nowhere near as good.

I am LIKIN it!

Reminds me of the olde theatrical critique of many years ago "Miss X's emotions ran the gamut from a to b..."

AND ALSO - how funny was it to see a few weeks ago the actress who played "R Toyah" on the Royal trying to be an anorexic!!??

Her with her pudgy face and bulging eyes!!?? Oh come on...

In comparison to the Eastenders fire a couple of months back this was an amateur effort...there was more smoke in the main part of the factory than in the stock room!

And how come there wasn't a flash or backdraft when Nick smashed the door down?

All rather shoddy...some of the acting was well below par as well..

I think most people will agree Corrie's been pretty poor since the end of the Richard Hillman story and that's a year ago now...

LOL!!! And so true.

Although in Kate Ford's case she can even manage to get to 'B'. She's so wooden that she'll be forever stuck on 'A'

Well spotted. Martins dyed ginger hair has gone all wirey too. Like a bad wig. It's nearly as bad as curly's was.

It would have been ideal if Nick has taken Maria's coat of many colours to protect him, and gotten it burnt in the process. You can just hear her.

"Niiiick, I thought I were going to lose you. But more importantly I've lost the only coat that I truly loved. You'll 'ave to get me another one!"

"Maria, don't tell anyone, but I started the fire just so I could burn that bloody coat!"

Why DID Nick smash the door down? He was on the OUTSIDE - wouldn't it have been quicker to just get the key off Harry?

Actually, I wouldn't. It's streets ahead of Eastenders.

I don't know why he bothered saving the little Cranky in the first place should have just left her to burn.

Not only that with her (Janice) mouth she could have been heard over that radio long beofre the alarm finally decided to go off ! (in fact she could have been heard above the alarm (if she hadnt been ko'd under a metal bookcase))

Janice is ok - we need more punch-up between her & Cilla.

It's Tracy who needs axing!!

Maybe smoke alarms are more sensitive to food perhaps the sausage heat/fatty smoke is more recognisable to the alarm .... due to no sausages being burnt/cooked in the factory the alarm waited until the fire got to the returned garments as soon as it got a sniff of burning food off it went again.

And why, all of a sudden, were the girls making so much noise in the factory. They don't "normally" make so much noise and I don't think I have ever heard a radio that loud.

Ive not heard what happens next - does the insurance pay out, despite the long delay in the alarms working? Do they find out how it started - Janice? Does Mike loose everything? Do they all loose their jobs? Will the Rovers be empty at lunch time?

I think that there's some issue over the insurance pay-out which is how Mike's nephew (Bradley Walsh) comes into the show. Nick gets sacked too.

I bet he gets that job he went for.
Unless another factory is built on his doorstep.

Is Martin the only one whos job is not within 100 yards of the street?

Penny King gives them all jobs at her factory.
Janice admits that the fire was her fault but ....
Mike fires Nick anyway.

I think they were having a group rebellious moment, after Nicky started laying down the law. Harry made me laugh singing Sisters are doing it for themselves! Wish he wasn't going.
