what is ure favourite ever stunt in a soap. which was more spectacualr. did brookies helicopter crash leave u hot under the collar or did poor tiffany mitchells fall from grace make u go "wow".
here are my top five

5 -Tiffany mitchell is knocked down and killed outside the
queen vic
i loved this stunt at the time. i thought that the bells ringing
in the new year gave it that dramatic edge and the use of
slowmotion made the whole accident look more horrific

4 - Tate Lorry crashes into a mini bus
very spectacular and very adventurous. emmerdale took a
huge leap of faith that this cud be pulled off. the results were
horrific and jaw dropping

3 - Sarah sugden is killed by barn explosion
it lived up to the hype. it was dramtic , horrendously sad and
the slow motion explosion at the end was just superb

2 - don brennan drives alma into the Irwell Canal
amazing. i remember seeing this the first time around. when they cut the sound off as the car took a huge dive in slow motion the u hear alma screaming no. it was just shiver inducing. fantastic

1 Brookside helicopter crash the most realistic soap accident i have ever seen. it was adventurous, the use of slow motion in the moments before impact were horrendous and the explosion was just perfect.

anyone else have any favourites

My favourite top five is.

5. Tiffany Mitchell killed on New Years Eve.
Even though I knew it was going to happen some weeks before, I was still shocked when it did happen. It was done very well and I too loved the bells chiming as she lay dead and the shocked residents of Albert Square crowded around.

4. Susannah Farnham's car crash in Brookside.
Out of most soap car crashes this was probably the most realisic and horrific one. The scene itself was great and the on screen deaths of her two children were highly dramatic and one of the most tragic character deaths I've seen in a soap.

3. Phil and Grant's plunge into the Thames.
All mine seem to involve car crashes lol I think this was the most cinematic stunt done in Eastenders. The whole episode prior to the river plunge was excellent aswell, Phil and Grant finally confronting each other over the stuff they had done to each other. The actual plunge itself was amazing with Phil firing at the dashboard and then Sam Mitchell screaming for her brothers.

2. Richard Hillman drives Gail and Family into the Canal.
Looking at her now you'd think he'd have been glad to leave her behind and drive off himself but no he wanted her to die with him and she nearly did! I watched and actually felt the fear of Gail, Sarah and David as they drove toward the canal. The song playing at the time really suited the scene aswell and him screaming I Love You as they were all about to die was classic!

1. The Brookside Helicoptor Crash
I totally agree this was the best soap stunt I've ever seen! That whole storyline was brilliant, really action packed and should have been Brookside's glory moment. Shame the ********s at Channel 4 had thrown it into a Saturday afternoon omnibus. It never got half the praise it deserved. The explosion when the plane crashed awesome and all the glass shattering in Bar Brookie. Definitely best soap stunt ever!

I used to watch Brookie but stopped about 2 years before it finished. I thought it had good storylines but I really thought the writers overdid things a bit. Firstly there was a gas explosion at the flats then once everything was repaired/rebuilt there was a bomb at that health club/pool/restaurant thing that Jacqui, Suzannah and Lyndsey owned.

Later I heard there was a siege on the close then the helicopter crash, all this on two streets! (Brookside Parade & Brookside Close)

lol@Angel, yeh that was mad. The original explosion that took out the flats was caused by Sinbad and a faulty cooker he was trying to sell, it was leaking gas and I think he or Ron Dixon turned on a light or a lit a match and blew the whole place sky high.

The bomb at the health club was planted by Callum Finnegan, a gangster who terrrorised Lyndsay Corkhill Because she stood up to him and I think she tried to kill him. It was the opening night and it went off killing Emily Chadwick's brother and father, who incidently was found under the rubble naked with Susannah Farnham lol

And then when everythings up an running again, the Close is taken hostage and a helicoptor crashes into the parade. Yeh I see what you mean lol
