Coast series link on BBC 2 England..

Is this normal and to be expected? - I have just tried to do a series link on the Coast series on BBC 2 England tonight. It was on episode 2/8. I have noticed it has booked to be recorded the BBC Wales old episodes too which I am not interested in recording. Surely it should just pick up BBC England episodes? Is this a BBC crid issue?

This is with the new firmware, does it happen with the old?

It has the same Series CRID, and a different Prog CRID, which it would see as valid to pick up.

I think this is what is referred to in the Release notes, where they mention Regional Channels, and working with freesat to resolve.

I think, when the regional channels broadcast these progs at a different time to the "English variants", due to local programming, perhaps they should be a completely different Series CRID. Although you could look at it as giving you an increased Alternate Instance option for clashes

Rgds.

Ah.. thanks for that Les, that explains it then.. let's hope it gets sorted out soon - although the positive slant you put on it is very valid.
