No loader is only available using a web download to USB

How do you check what version you are on?

I appears that if you had the original boot loader and only a single cable then the OTA updates would fail. But as there is a new one it's probably a good idea to bring it up to date.

Just downloaded 1.00.11 OTA update on a single cable connection after upgrading the loader earlier by USB so it works (Diagnostics says Update date 25 Oct 2009)

It won't have unless it's after 03:00am tomorrow when you get home!!

It will update during it's housekeeping as long as you leave it in Standby.

Otherwise, go into the Installation Menu, and choose Software Update | Automatic Update, and it will find it, and take about 10 mins to update. You will see the progress bar go up to 100% a few times as it installs the various elements.

Rgds.

Just downloaded the update ota, and now my information bars are stretched i.e. press red button shows pres, first digit missing from channel number and year on date missing.

Any ideas anyone, on how to unstretch them?

Hi
I have a panasonic Plasma and mine did this.

It seems to screw up how your TV is set. All you have to do is press the buttons (TVs not the PVRs) that change how your picture is displayed ie AUTO-WIDESCREEN-ZOOM-ZOOM1-ZOOM2 etc. Start with auto and see how you go on.

If you are viewing over hdmi then there is a lot more overscan with the new firmware using original for SD channels, 576i and 579p even with the TV set to Full pixel. Setting 1081i sorts it on my TV

Press 'menu' then down to 'set up' and then across to 'software update' then press 'ok'. then 'ok' again for 'automatic update'

Perhaps like the PS3 the iplayer option only shows up if the box can find the server?

Thank goodness, now sorted.

On my Toshiba remote there is a button I have never had any reason to use before it is subtitle then a panel displays and just click on exact scan.

Humax box is still on screen ratio 16.9 widescreen tv and Display format Auto.

Cheers all

Am doing an OTA update. Has taken 1hr so far, and has been stuck on 99% for 15 mins. Should I switch off and reboot?

update: now all updated!

My network settings still say 0.0.0.0.

Pressing subtitle button once switches on subs rather than press button, scroll down and OK.

Thank goodness that can now delete whilst recording

But you cannot delete while deleting

I would have thought it could have added the delete job to the queue?
