Has anybody else got this problem?

To reproduce:
Go to BBC1, pause BBC1, observe that it works.

Change to channel 138, hit pause, and observe it not pause (on my system anyway). After hammering "pause" for a bit, the display on the HDR changes from "Zone Horror" to "Horror" and then pauses.

Then tune to Zone Horror +1 (139) and try to pause. Observe again that pausing doesn't work...

On mine it seems that any channel I tune to pause is only available after about 30 seconds of it being on that channel.

Oooh. Bit premature by me then. I quickly tuned to Zone Horror then hit pause as soon as I was on it. Pause failed, so I tuned to another and it failed again.

Didn't think to wait 30 seconds!

A bit premature but in your defence there really is no reason why you should not be able to pause as soon as you change channel. I'm sure the old firmware never suffered from this feature.

I haven't upgraded my HDR yet and the pause delay appears to be dependent on data-rate. Switching to one of the major channels the delay is 10 - 15 seconds and around 5 seconds for BBC HD. So some of the lower quality channels might be as high as 30 seconds.

Has anyone else noticed the brief black screen before the pause occurs? Not all the time but quite often.

My set has also frozen on the zone horror channel for about 30 seconds and become unresponsive - I think it was just after I entered a new channel number - all happening very quickly as I was testing. I wonder if the reason is related to that pause problem then? It recovered ok after that though and suddenly became responsive again.
