Apparently the new Diablo CAM 2 has been confirmed to work with the new white cards for the FTV channels (pay channels not tested yet), i.e. Sky 3, Fiver, Five USA and the +1s, Channel 4 HD and VIVA (purchase here) but you'll still need a Sky box to keep the card alive every month or so.

Its worth waiting a few weks before buying one though as its quite possible the forthcoming anti piracy measures will stop them working again

Oh great!

I have a problem with the glib way that the phrase "anti-piracy" seems to be banded about by $ky! How can it be "anti-piracy" when I am using a bona-fide card with an active subscription that I am paying in full for to $ky themselves but the only difference is that I choose to use it in other (better than their rubbish) equipment? I'm STILL paying for what I watch! It's extremely irritating...

Back on the subject of freesat vs non-freesat I'm just disappointed that the manufacturers haven't integrated both seamlessly into their PVRs. After all, it's only software, if you can receive a picture then you can record it and if you can record it you can schedule the recording for a future time!! Why do we have to mess about changing modes - simply swap modes when we swap between channels. Just bad software I think, and all this EPG business is just a smokescreen. Come on, give us something that's easy to use with the features that we need!!

Mike.
