I think there should be a wide range.
You have to have the brainless 18 year old and the 40+ (but for me that could as easily be 80+) people who are a bit more sensible (at times).
But for me the thing I would want is that they are all single, doesn't mean they will all get off with each other but it means they are more likely to let go and get into the fun of it.

What they need is better tasks. And more of them.

Hi Donna I'm grand thank you, tad hungover (too many 'sex on the beach' last night) Hope you're making a good RTV addiction recovery!

I think 'older people' once fuelled by alcohol can loose their inhabitions and be much more fun than a bunch of teenyboppers!

Sometimes I wish I drank but then I see others making a right pratt of themselves and breath a sigh of relief

God I hope I know how to have fun!!
Mostly I'm quite sensible, but then, shed me of my responsibilitys for a few weeks and I'd more than let my hair down..... re live my youth

errrrrrr on second thoughts would I want that televised?
<cough> I was a bit wild in my day lol

I think age is irrelevant, sometimes the inactivity of the over 40's can be boring, but so can the over activity of the under 21's. Regardless of age people can just be downright boring because of who they are. Finding the right combination is the key. Unfortunately because of past BB's this gets harder and harder as most of those that apply are wannabes that promise to perform and then play safe!

The perfect age group would be 15 to 19 years old females

The last Big Brother had the majority being 28-35, and fell flat on it's ass. We don't want sensible, married individuals. We want raunchy, horny, entertaining and lively, young people!

Of course, include one forty year old, one 50-60 year old, like other successful Reality Shows do; they can be the entertaining, but sensible bunch who people respect and like. Much like Maureen + James from Back to Reality.

Nush, Tania, Anoushka, Federico, Ray, Sissy, Scott and Steph were all under 28 and therefore the MAJORITY of the housemates were young. The show was still crap even with them dominating it so I don't think you can generalise and say that only people of a certain age group (which includes me!) know how to have fun and be entertaining. Tania and Anoushka were retarded and intellectually challenged. Ray and Federico were immature and petulant bores. Nush and Sissy could whinge for Britain and they were vegetarian too! My point is that it has nothing to do with age but how REAL the individuals choose to be. Some people in their 20's act like they are 65! Like Scott for example. A lot of the older people have won BB and IACGMOOH over the younger ones so the great majority of viewers would beg to differ with your point.
