It strikes me as odd that Alesha gets dog's abuse on here for her diabolical grammar, yet James doesn't. He speaks in exacty the same way she does.
"You was fantastic", etc. Why is it overlooked for him, yet she gets such a lot of abuse for it? And I'm not saying that as a fan of Alesha as a judge. I liked her as a contestant but I think she is out of her comfort zone, to use the Strictly vernacular. Personally, I reckon Alesha should be sacked, Arlene reinstated and that Vernon Kay should be brought in to take over from Bruce. |

For me, a pro dancer would be the wrong choice for the main presenter, whomever they were. That's for two primary reasons. First, there would surely be an overwhelming temptation for them to chip is their two penn'orth, which isn't what they would be there for (I know that there are people who will say that Bruce does this, but I think he's relatively restrained about it and imagine how much worse it would be with an opinionated pro dancer). Second, carrying a two hour live show needs a seasoned TV professional, it's certainly not a job for a debutant.
Should Bruce ever be replaced, they need somebody with similar credentials: an experienced host of unscripted live TV with a good knowledge of dance. A tough brief to meet. |

Have to say I thought he did really well , agree with you about the grammar and he would have to sort that out if he wanted to become a regular presenter
Also I think he is so sweet with Ola , both of them are very likable this series |

James got a lot of stick on here in his first series as he wouldn't take any nonsense from a really stroppy madam who didn't want to do the work, she was bone idle.
She really thought she was somebody as she'd been in a soap. (Yes it is a soap, but you can call it what you like). Whatever happened to her? Ms Bouzova's idleness didn't exactly do her profile any favours -- I mean, who wants to hire someone with that kind of attitude? James was right to be hard on her...it's a shame people saw it as "bullying". She was paid a lot of money to appear on the show -- she could've at least made the effort. Loving James' presenting skills -- he's a natural. |

Wasn't it Georgina Bulsara? And didn't she step in when someone else dropped out.

I am very impressed with James on ITT. He seems to have taken to presenting like a duck to water.
I hope they use him more on ITT. Would also like to see him try and teach Claudia in the dance masterclass. |

I thought he was good too, mild speech impediment aside. I like James now. I think as he has got on with all of his partners other than the drippy casualty girl, that maybe she was a bit of a lazy blighter. Maybe the production team now knows this pushes his buttons and give him people more suited.

Here's a thought: Claudia takes over from Bruce James Jordan takes over from Tess Karen Hardy takes over from Alesha Alesha takes over from Claudia on ITT. Zoe Ball takes over from Tess Claudia stays where she is on ITT Karen Hardy replaces Alesha James Jordan stays doing back stages reports for ITT, and takes over from Len doing the dance masterclass on ITT. |
