James is an excellent presenter. He did really well this weekend and on SCD4 when he did the Monday look back at Saturday's show.

James is a great guy, unfortunately much maligned by those who just don't get his humour. Excellent teacher, cares passionately for dance and is evidently ready to help out others behind the scenes. Absolute natural as an insider-presenter - has the gift of making you feel he's really speaking to you through the camera. To my mind he's streets ahead of Anton, who's an increasingly irritating show-off.

Witnessing Ola's sense of humour on display this series (thanks to her lovely little hobbit Chris), you can see how the Jordan partnership is founded on more than just physical attraction and dancing talent.

Thought he was great - made it look very easy which I'm sure it's not!

Exactly making it look easy is a sign of a good presenter. Well done James.

James suffered from the fact he had a lazy celebrity the first year he was on Strictly who he ended up having to shout at and he unfortunately got the blame and everyone thought he was like that all the time. . Had he got that person in a later series no one would have blamed him at all.

To my surprise - don't mind James, but never been a fan - I found him an excellent presenter. The hubby agrees too. I hope they give him more space in that role!

I was very impressed. He's a natural. His speaking voice goes up and down, quickly and slowly etc. just as you'd expect them to. Some people are all over the place in this respect.

He could do with tidying up his pronunciation. He's a bit lazy on some words, which makes him sound a bit like a used car salesman rather than a potential BBC newsreader. An accent is fine, but proper pronunciation is important for me in my presenters. (One expects dross on the commercial channels, but this is the BBC, and we have our standards, old boy. )

James got a lot of stick on here in his first series as he wouldn't take any nonsense from a really stroppy madam who didn't want to do the work, she was bone idle.
She really thought she was somebody as she'd been in a soap. (Yes it is a soap, but you can call it what you like).

Whatever happened to her?
Working in theatre. She was the leading lady in Bill Kenwright's "And Then There Were None" and in March this year it was announced that she'll be playing the leading role in "The Mousetrap" in the West End until January 2010.

Wasn't it Georgina Bulsara? And didn't she step in when someone else dropped out.
No, it was definitely Georgina Bouzova.

Yes, Georgina was a last minute replacement for Gabby Logan in series 4, when ITV wouldn't let Gabby do SCD. Gabby did SCD the following year, after she'd moved to the BBC.

The way things turned out, she'd have been better off staying at ITV.

I agree that James has been much mis-judged in the past because of 'Georgina-gate'

He's worked so hard with his partners since and from the feedback from other professionals and celebrities has shown his true worth.

He's definitely a natural presenter, and no dispespect to Len - I'd love to see him try out the 'Masterclass' with Claudia....perhaps focussing on aspects that haven't been covered already...particularly the importance of specifics in all dances like eye levels - hands-arms- facial expressions...in parlicular...THE MOUTH...so many get that wrong

I don't think that James is 'The Big Bad Wolf' he's been portayed as - in fact I think he is an excellent teacher, not just an exceptional professional dancer....its a gift!

All of the other pros and contestants seem to speak very highly of James. It seems he's a really good bloke, helpful and supportive. I hadn't previously liked him at all, but now I really do.

I'm looking at both of the Jordans in a new light lately.
Me too! They used to be my least fav professionals but I'm warming to them.

I thought he was a natural at presenting.

I can't see the attraction either!

Brendan, on the other hand, has been appealing to me of late
Sid, wash your mouth out!

I thought James was an excellent presenter! If they give him more time on ITT and behind the scenes on SCD, maybe he will be good enough for the main show in a couple of years?

Unless I misunderstood from reading Brian's Mum's blog http://dwp.bigplanet.com/unidancespo...londoner1nov7/ it seems James and Ola are judges on Brian's wheelchair dancing program that is on next year. The bit in question is under her Nov 11th chat, 4th paragraph

I wouldn't be at all surprised about that. Brian told ITT that they became buddies after James & Ola put Brian up during his earliest days in London.
