By 28th November the exquisite Darcey will be on show. There will always be another match for QPR.

take the Strictly tickets - as soulmate61 says - you can always do qpr another time - getting strictly tickets is like winning the lottery!! it doesnt happen often!

Strictly. But get there really early, you don't want to be so far back in the queue that you don't get into that as well.

Depends on whats more important to you OP. You may not get this chance of going to SCD again for a long time.

I can't believe that you have to queue for ages and then still might not get in. Its a bit outrageous.

I agree with olivej that getting tickets is like a lottery win and you might never get the chance of seeing SCD live again.

If it was a choice of a cup final or SCD I could understand the dilemma, but it is just a league game and the two teams are miles apart in the league too.

Take a football to while away the time waiting in the queue. Aim your best shots at the BBC glass door.

Above is a link to times people queued. Ignoring Blackpool CP30 gives a good explanation for the BBC centre.

I went last year in Sept and started queueing at 2 o'clock. I was number 51 & 52 in the queue.

The guests in front of me were saying that that only the first 50 are guaranteed to get in.

All the dancers, judges, production crew and celebrities are allocated spaces/ tickets (VIP's). The free audience places are dependent on how many of these guests turn up - obviously the less number of guests = higher allocation of spaces for free audience places.

The BBC always over allocate free tickets as they want to ensure a "full house", therefore, if a VIP doesn't turn up - there's plenty of people backstage willing to take their place.

So, although you'll get into the BBC it does not guarantee a spot in the studio - you may be watching the show on a tv in the green room!

It's a fab occasion and well worth the stress of waiting & hoping to get in (I did get in incidently). If I ever get the chance to go again, I'll be setting up a mini camp outside the studio before 12 and taking in turns with my plus 1 to visit the fab shopping centre opposite to kill time.

I really hope you get in lovely, it is a fantastic evening out x

have a fabulous time and good choice

1pm is around the time that people start to arrive (saying that I got there at 9am when I had tickets - just to make sure I go in - but people after me arrived at around 11 - 12 time)

If you even have to think about chosing between football and Strictly, I don't think you're a big enough fan to warrant getting them. Just my opinion.

Perhaps the op is a big fan of both equally and doesn`t get much chance to see a footie match live ?

Also tickets to football matches aren't cheap so can definitely see why there is a dilema.
