What are your favourites? I'm off for 2 weeks to Florida on Saturday so am interested in what people think the better ones are.

I loved ponderosa when I went to orlando, they have quite a few scattered about

they have an all you can eat breakfast buffet in the mornings everything from bacon to fresh fruit salads..

and at lunch times theres an all you can eat buffet with salad, chicken etc etc and you also order your main meal where they have a choice of steaks, chicken, fish etc and then for the all you can eat desserts!!!! and the drinks are free refills aswell!

the waiting staff all seemed really nice when I visited.

Personally, when I've been in the States, I've not really bothered with chain type restaurants, as there are so many good independant ones.

Oh yeah I know that, but we will be in very touristy areas for long periods of time so are looking for some reliable places to fall back on.

If you're in Orlando you should check out Key W. Cools, we used to go there when we were little and it was very nice. Went back a few years ago but wasn't good for me not eating meat.
And the Planet Hollywood at Downtown Disney is always fun, theres also several good places to eat around downtown disney, like the House of Blues.
Disney's Boardwalk has a few good places too.

I'm here at the moment, although not in Orlando. For Italian, Olive Garden aren't bad, and you certainly won't leave hungry. For steaks, i've never had a bad one at a Longhorn, although make sure you have the baked potato with it as the chips are so salty they are inedible. Well the ones I had last night were!
Red Lobster is always pretty good for seafood. I like Bob Evans for breakfast and if you just fancy chicken pie and mash Perkins are good value.

Are they good? My friends rave about the place but never been, mostly because it's at the Florida Mall and we always eat at California Pizza Kitchen if we're there.

Pei Wei is like a fast-food version of P.F. Changs. Pretty decent and cheap American Chinese food.

You can get a pretty decent burrito at Chipotle and there are lots of those everywhere.

I would say eat double the amount then, but it is eat all you like. Leave your green flag flying and they will not stop brining you meat, until you fly the red flag
