meh, let people like what they like. I don't think 'drowning' was mentioned. lol. I prefer a variety of different sauces to try out (I like sauces, what can I say?), but I've grown up with A1's and wouldn't hesitate to put a little on the side of my plate. I could see a dijon on a roast or roast pork, but I've never with a steak, although it is beef as well.
