No I'm not joking, why would I be?

Brendan did that Love Island thing which was pretty bad but a.) it was not even in the same league of hideousness as I'm a Celeb and b.) he carried on with Strictly so not a decline, more of a blip. Anton on that wall thing? Eh, that's just cheese and he is also still on the show. If you can give me an example of another pro who has had such a sad decline as to go from much loved professional dancer to eating live animals and swimming through sh*t live on television do please let me know.
Camilla has left Strictly though - so it's not an and/or situation for her, is it?

And she has the has the GMTV exercise guru gig lined up for the New Year, with possibly all the associated DVD merchandise that goes with it so hardly a career in freefall - who knows, perhaps a 2 week stint in the Jungle is part of the 'advertising' for that.

I don't think they persuaded her - perhaps she hopes that a TV career will come out of it although it is more difficult these days - last year's winner has recently been declared bankrupt. I can't really see it happening as she has already had a lot of exposure on SCD. I suppose it depends how she does. Or maybe the money has tempted her. I don't know what acting work her fiance has right now. Her new job as Ms Motivator will not bring her so much as it isn't a daily spot and is a relatively minor part of the program. So neither has a secure job.

Peter Andre is This Morning's showbiz reporter and as an ex-jungle inmate he would be the natural choice to report for the program. So I don't think the two can be compared
It may have come from her agent but it's equally likely to have been part of her GMTV deal that she would go on I'm a Celeb & position her as a 'celeb' in her own right. The more 'fans' she has from other shows the more viewers she brings in. Natasha K was 'persuaded' to do SCD by her BBC bosses - they told in no uncertain terms that that was what they wished her to do next.

Of course Andre was covering I'm a celeb because of his history with the show, but he's a GMTV employee & it's an another example of a link between the shows.

Peter Andre is a This Morning employee not GMTV, but both are of course ITV employees.
But maybe it works out for Camilla and opens new possibilities for her although it is difficult as the show has been running for years - even the winners have had differing success from it. It seems you have to really make an impact.
But both Camilla and her partner are in precarious professions with no guarantee of long-term employment. I am not even sure if he is working now, so the money is not something to be turned down lightly.
The GMTV job is a start and perhaps they will expand it further for Camilla so she does more than the last one did, as his role in the show was quite minor and he only appeared once a week or so.
It is a dilemma all the dancers will be facing soon - how to manage the rest of their lives and earn enough money to live on and support themselves at a much later stage. However, I suppose there will always be people wanting to learn how to dance

She`s probably getting paid just as much for a couple of weeks <if she lasts that long> in the jungle than she would get paid for three months work on SCD.

Well, that will ensure someone other than Jordan will get featured!

I'm horribly shocked if she has left the jungle - she looked ill and upset on the first night and with fewer rations as the days go by I doubt she'd have the strength to stay in. Poor Camilla.

...and then some.
Not to mention the exposure this show (espcially with KP on board) will give her.
If she's trying to get more media work then this is perfect for her.

EDIT: didn't read that she has walked already, so my post isn't relevant!

This morning GMTV were saying it was "dramatic overnight news " that she was frail and ill and " will she be the first celebrity to leave the jungle "

It is actaully now on the IACGMOOH site and she is being replaced by Joe Bugner

I'm not surprised she was ill

I read an article in the Daily Telegraph where dieticians look over what people eat.

Camilla ate so much but she is so slim because, being a dancer, she does so much exercise. So to go from that to little food and no activity, it's hardly surprising that her body reacted against it!

Camilla shouldn't have been there in the first place IMO! She looks ill normally and after 24 hours looked shockingly awful!

Compared to the other shapely and toned female Pro dancers, Camilla always looked scrawny. In the jungle she was even thinner, almost anorexic, and I'm amazed at how less bubbly she was, almost as if she was there under sufference. Not done herself any favours going on the show.

Christa (#44) and I (#22) have both posted suggesting that Camilla only went to the jungle because GMTV wanted it. I thought that it might be an agreed strategy, but Christa raised the possibility of duress of the "it's both or neither, sweetie" variety.

This news nudges me towards the evil GMTV theory. Christa often posts sense, and some people (whoever could I be thinking of?) should pay more attention to what she writes.
