Yes he's got a decent voice, but it’s boring completely and utterly boring. All his songs sound the same, he does that annoying sway and he's got no stage presence what so ever !!!

All his voice has got is constant vibrato's...he sounds like a bloody geordie dolphin. To say he's the best singer in the comp is in my opinion a joke.

I just don’t get him at all. He would be less successful than both Steve Brookstein and Leon if he won.

Best of a bad bunch.

He has the best voice left in the competiton, his songs don't all sound the same, Don't Stop Believing sounds nothing like No Regrets, for example.

Joe's gone out into the audience in Don't Stop Believing, he moved around the stage in No Regrets, and he had a dance routine in Sway, (He didn't sway in sway lol...sorry )

His vibrato was very obvious in the earlier weeks, but I don't notice it half as much anymore, who would you say the best singer is?

I think he's going to be very successful, whether in the charts or an stage.

I don't find his voice boring atall in fact the complete opposite he puts a lot of emotion and power I really liked how he made Sway really exciting where when most people sing it just sounds dull

He seems a bit dull and the vibrato is annoying. But he has done more styles than anyone else (even if he murdered Don't Stop Believing) and he has proven that he is the best vocalist.

Shame he's so bland. I think they need to let him show off his personality.

I think it's because he's so inoffensive.

Personality: Nada. Nothing to love but nothing to annoy either. A bit of a Rachel Rice BB9 moment.

Looks: Probably good looking in a teenage girl's pin up kinda way. Does nothing for me, but I think Jamie is a sex god so... Joe has a big smile and perfect teeth. In fact you can probably hear a *ding* every time he flashes a grin at ya.

Charisma: He has some, but not enough to be "cocky"

Vocals: He can sing - FACT! However, he cannot do anything other than squeaky clean boyband covers of songs or musical performances (speak about J&E in the wrong show... perhaps Joe would have been more at home in those programmes that look for West End stars?) so he doesn't make any impact on me whatsoever - positive or negative.

He's just there. I don't get all the fuss either. Having said that, he's my second least fave and the only negatives I could say is that his smug face irritates me and I don't like his lack of any edge.

THIS! He looks like he should be in One True Voice. And made Don't Stop Believing into a boyband theme

I'm sure he's lovely but he's too... clean-cut for me.

I think he seems like a sweet guy. It's a shame that coming across as a decent human being gets you labled as "boring".

Nice lad but wetter than a very wet thing in water!

Far to camp to have any impact.

The reason that Joe is one of the favourites is because he has got the purest voice of them all and like even Simon said the other week, he is nearly always word perfect and pitch perfect! He has a fantastic voice and can sing almost anything!

I think that he is the best all-rounder of them all and the only one that comes close is Olly. I really like Jamie but he has just not performed to his best like his first audition!

I absolutely love Joe and would love him to win but I do think that it will be Olly that wins and have done so from the beginning! If Joe had been a couple of years older I think that he would easily win!

That's a non-sequitur. Decency and boring/exciting don't go together.

Why should someone be indecent to be exciting?

The bottom line is that he is just not exciting. Nothing to do with his decency level at all.

Joe confuses me.

I don't dislike the lad, not at all. But, at the same time I struggle to find a reason I like him. As the mother of various teenagers, I feel I have the word to describe him. It is, "Meh!".

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I don't even notice that Joe is on, he's like an ad break. It's time to chatter amongst the family, time to pick up the laptop and post on Facebook, time to grab another glass of wine...

This time last week I'd noticed that I couldn't remember a single performance of his and I don't remember even watching him so I was determined to do so and told the whole family to join in. Quite by accident, half way through, I pointed out that we were all talking again!

He was singing Circle of Life though. I don't remember his performance, I was just adamant that I'd remember something about him.

maybe he's favorite because he can actually sing really well... listen to his voice...

this should be about finding a great singer... unfortunately, it's become"

"let's see who can either
1. make monkey faces and hold a bad note really long
2. rip shirt on stage to look "hot"
3. pretend you're a rock god
4. do a "aww fanks my name's stacey" (for the record i like her a lot!)

fact is: Joe has a beautiful voice, and given that there is no star in the competition like Leona or Alexandra --- the best singer deserves to win

I usually have a natural aversion to supporting the young boys in the competition but Joe has become my favourite since the start of the live shows.so he must be doing something right.

Love him, like him or loathe him, to say that Joe, the contestant with the most consistent voice in the competition and the only one who has pulled off every song he has been given so far is not the best singer in the competition is absurd.

As ablaah said, there is no standout this year and, as such, is it any wonder that a contestant with a good voice and another with some sort of performance skills are the favourites?

He's forgettable, in fact I can't even remember one single performance.

Danni Minogue was absolutely correct when she said that he is the best male singer on the show.

He does have a incredible voice.

Joe has been the only consistent performer on this year's X-Factor.

In a fair and just 'singing' competition, Joe is the most deserving winner.

would that be 'lucie' boring? who has proved.since leaving the show she is nothing like they tried to make her out...

IMO this years show isnt doing ~ANY of them favours in putting over personality

Thats exactly how I am with Joe. I struggle to notice or remember him. When he appears. it's like 'oh he's on I'd forgotten him' every week.

There is nothing I've forgotten his performance 20 minutes after the show has finished.

It's a bit odd really, he seems a lovely lad, he does have a good voice, he's been very consistant (although Don't Stop Believing was too big for him, but a good attempt at it) , but I seriously struggle to remember he's on the show

And until we get to the last couple of weeks, or his vote levels drop, thats exactly how it supposed to be.

He is the best singer, good looking and inoffensive. He was always going to become a favorite once people started noticing him (he was a bit hidden in the run-up to the live shows I thought)
