I don't agree. Alexandra was a class above from the start. I really don't know what on earth Simon was on about those first few weeks, but then that's usually the case anyway.

We keep being reminded that this is a singing competition (even if last week's decision would lead that to be debatable) and if so there is only one justifiable winner. Joe is by far the best singer in the competition. Added to which he is the only one who on camera looks like a potential star and has a likeability only equalled by Olly and for many people Stacey

If he had the balls to to express his own opinion instead of pandering to the safe route of musicals and smiling like a muppet for every song he sings (yeah, 'no regrets' is really happy Joe, I can feel your pain!), I might have some respect. I agree with you, he should stand up and make himself heard on the song choices but you have to remember, he's only a young boy who's probably just taking what is given to him by the "so called" experts. I think Jamie is able to put up an argument on the song choices because of his age and experience but his choices have been shocking as well. The smiling thing with Joe, I think that's just his way, I wish he didn't have that constant smiling thing going on but it doesn't take away the fact he has a great voice. If he toned down the grin it would be better though.

BTW, I'm not trying to convince you of anything, you have your views and I have mine, that's allowed. I'm no senile pensioner although I feel like one just now as I am dying with the flu just now, craaazy at office parties not my style (don't have an office anyway!).

Michelle MacManus had a good voice she just didn't have the image but I knew she would win, Steve Brookstein, good voice who got the public behind him when Sharon Osbourne was so vile to him, sympathy vote I think. Leon I liked so he had my "Scottish" vote although Rhydian was the rightful winner, couldn't believe Leon won it tbh.

I'm not saying I'm a fantastic judge of the winner, it's just happened that the ones I've backed have won whether they were truly the best or not. This year my favourite is Joe and hope he goes all the way but I wouldn't be surprised if Olly won it, especially if he starts getting some decent songs to show off his voice. This has been the worst year really as the song choices have been atrocious (apart from Hurt) so noone has really shone out. First one to get a slow, powerful ballad and nail it will have it in the bag. The fast rocky type songs are not what wins it for any of them, the gbp in general like a ballad to show what their voice is capable of but it has to be a good one, not bloody Circle of Life or garbage like that.

He is one of the favourites because he has a fantastic voice. I thought he might get found out in the live shows but he gets stronger every week. If he sings that Luther Vandross song (first audition) again he'll be a guaranteed winner.

Just for clarity, my winner is Joe. This could be the first year I'm wrong though but he is the one I'm backing. Listening to the live lounge footage of Jamie and Olly, Olly has a great voice that is just not being shown on the live shows, I've changed my opinion of him since watching that. I just don't know what the judges are playing at this year with the songs, awful and don't suit the singers at all.

Joe is my winner but Cheryl needs to get her finger out and start giving him better songs. Give him a slow, powerful, emotional ballad, not Disney, and he will have it in the bag. Who knows in this series though, who would have thought that a talented singer such as Lucie would lose out to Jedward, funny as they are, they are just bad.

I think Joe is really boring and he doesnt look like a popstar. He has got a great voice tho and would be good in the West End.

Lloyd looks like a popstar and given the right song, he could be amazing!

He is my 4th favorite behind the Cowell trio. He has got the over 60 vote thats why he is popular. My mum and nan both say he sounds nice lol.

These are the things we have to contend with. I have a nephew of 7 that loves John and Edward and really could not care about anyone else.

So we have all under 10's voting Jedward and all over 60's voting Joe lol

I don't however love Joe. I've got nothing against his voice; yeah the boy can sing but my god is he boring! As someone else said, the best word to describe him is 'meh'.

I completely agree with you! I find his performances awful, then I forget about them as soon as they are over and can't remember why I found them awful in the first place. If he wins, it will be a bigger travesty than Jedward. He does have one unique talent - like you mentioned - making all his songs sound the same. I used to love "Where do Broken Hearts Go" until he sang it. The one performance I do remember is the awful "sway." That "dad" dancing? It was so cringe worthy. It is how I would imagine Louis Walsh to dance. The boy should never dance. I've said this before but he'd make a perfect Joseph in the West End and I am not sure that is a compliment.

Spot on! Exactly my sentiments! Even Dannii said that he has got the best voice out of all the males left in the competition! Which Simon absolutely hated and disagreed!

I also agree on the majority of the songs that have been picked for nearly all the contestants, although I do like some of Joes songs! But I totally agree that he needs a massive ballard to show off his beautifull voice. I think that Joe is the dark horse and if you remember rightly Alexandra only started to come to the fore this time last year and she just got better and better.

Lets hope that Joe has got a great song this week. I, like you, have picked the winner every year apart from the year Leon won, I think that Rhydian should have won that year!

Fingers crossed that Joe will get better the longer he stays in, he will have longer on stage. After all he can sing almost anything, unlike the others! Joe is definitely the most versatile! Joe for the win!

Well I am not over 60 and I love him! I know 20 and 30 year olds that love him and think he is cute and has the purest voice of them all!

We are so similar in our thoughts, as much as I want Joe to win, I think that it will be Olly! He seems to have so much support! Heres hoping that Joe will shine in this second half of the series!

Unless Stacey suddenly recovers her form, Joe is the best act left. But the show is effectively over now, anyway. None of the remaining acts would be playlisted on Radio 1, and it's doubtful they'd even be given original material to record. The best the 'winner' can hope for is to remain on Syco's books for longer than Leon Jackson managed.

I still think that there is much more to come from Joe, but without a doubt there is no Leona Lewis there this year! Well not at the moment anyway!

I thought that Joe sang "Circle Of Life" beautifully. He does have a lovely voice with that slow vibrato. I like him best out of all the remaining contestants.
