Just stumbled across "Never Miss a Show Again) Catch-up TV's website.

Their tagline suggests the ability to view programs that were broadcast in the past, but I can only see current programs. I cannot even scroll the TV guide back to yesterday.

Is this site a complete scam or am I missing the obvious, somewhere?

Weel, scam might be the wrong phrase, but you are right: The site is just for steaming live TV channels and not for rebroadcasting older programs. To be honest I really like the site and I think they've bought the catchy URL years ago and use this now a different way...

In its original incarnation it did allow recording of shows, but fell foul of some UK broadcasting regulations (I think - it was unclear to me whether they were breaking the rules or not). Anyway, for whatever reason, it was revamped as a streaming site with the promise of some "local" PVR functionality to come in the future. I haven't visited the site lately to see how close that is to being available - check the forums.

They were "breaking the rules" and it was more than clear that they were breaking the law, which is why they set up a different service completely unrelated to their name.

They simply lied about it.

Thanks to all for replies. I figure we all watch too much TV anyhow.
