I'm really looking forward to tomorrow's show. Claudia is almost bound to be a success in the Pit. Tess will be worrying about that and so desperate to do well in front-of-house. Also can't wait to see what Alesha is wearing - a hair shirt or her Joan Collins mask.

But above all it's so nice to be able to await the dances with a completely open mind and without feeling like farting in the general direction of Craig K. They're all there on merit now as far as I'm concerned, no-one went OTT begging for it last week. If Ricky G finally starts his journey, well good for him, I say.

The BBC are now saying that Ronnie Corbett will be joining Tess and Claudia tomorrow night...the plot thickens.

Perhaps rehearsals didn't go too well

I think they have missed a trick by not having Alesha present the show

Is anyone else slightly concerned that Ronnie may have been brought in for Tess to do her leg raise with at the beginning. She's really really tall and he's really quite short

I reckon so. I don't know how three presenters will work though. Claudia isn't needed now for the main show, surely? Have Ronnie front of house and Tess in her normal place.

Unless they feel Ronnie may be slightly out of his depth. I'm starting to feel sorry for Tess, she always has to be the guide!

She'll knock his head off.

The BBC are really tempting fate considering Bruce has the flu and David Dimbleby got knocked out by a bullock. They say these things happen in threes...

I've see Ronnie Corbett before and he's hopeless live and ad libbing. He can only work from a script, preferably written by Ronnie Barker.

I bet Tess would have made an excellent job on her own.

That would be SO funny and would get the show off to a great start!

Claudia wears killer heels doesn't she? I don't know how she walks in them Is she quite short and wants to increase her height a bit or is it a total fashion statement?

Personally I can't wait to Claudia in the Tesspit! For the first time in AGES I am really looking forward to tomorrows SCD

I really hope they haven't brought Ronnie Corbett in to do the "jokes". When are they going to realise it's not a comedy show?

Bruce has been quoted in the past as saying he would like to see Ronnie take over from him when he gives the show up so I guess there is the possibility of wanting to see if it would work. It will be interesting to see what they do. As the BBC announced that Tess was going to take the main presenting role she will have the right to be a bit teed off if she doesn't actually do it on her own as it would make it seem like she was tried and couldn't hack it. I'd almost feel sorry for her in that case.

One Ronnie too many for me.

Yes - just leave Tess and Claudia to do it. Hopefully Ronnie's role will be so minimal he's not noticed. I like the guy, it's just that he might be out of his depth being drafted in at short notice. It would have been better to let Tess have a go at showing what she can do.

Mind you, should have had Marian Keyes in the Tesspit - that would have been a scream!

I predict one joke after another based around his height (or lack thereof)

I think it's more likely she'll be raising his leg to be honest! Or maybe just pick him up full stop.

please nooo to the ronnie thing i was finally going to be able to watch the show instead of record it so i can fast forward through the pointless joke parts and this looks as if we will still have them!!

Ronnie Corbett? Please, no, just leave Tess and Claudia too it. Tess will be fine taking on main role for a week and CLaudia has proven herself willing and capable to interview the contestants and look excited and motherly.

Am I alone in hoping Ronnie is fronting the show? I recently watched his life story with PM and found him witty, charming and utterly adorable.

Doesn't this constitute Constructive Dismissal as far as Tess is concerned? How was she told, I muse... and when was she told, I wonder.

"Luvvie, we need jokes and we need someone with a track record in the doing jokes department, you see. Oh, nothing against you, of course!"

Well if Ronnie is there to do jokes, I think we can 'look forward' to Strictly overrunning by 5 or 10 minutes tonight.

I heard that Claudia was filling in..true? if so, looking forward to the show may be an improvement!

thing is Claudia only said last night that she would be helping out. She didn't actually say she'd be taking Tess's role.

What I think will probably happen is that Tess will take the judges comments, Claudia will be backstage and Ronnie will do the outdated jokes.

In which case, Claudia WOULD be doing Tess's role

I agree with this. Tess backstage spoils SCD for me a bit. Looking forward to Claud.

It's agood job for Tess that she's already signed for next year's series cos I can see Claudia being so much better than her at the backstage interviews, leaving BBC bosses with a pensive frown on their brows.

As for Ronnie Corbett- he's a lovely guy and I was a big fan of The Two Ronnies, but I have to say he was a bit out of his depth when he guest-hosted Have I Got News For You. He was fine reading out the scripted stuff, but every time there was an ad-lib bit with Hislop and Merton, he sort of started to speak then chickened out and let them get on with it.
