That Showdance - I still cringe for Lisa when I think about it.
I still can't understand what Brendan was thinking. |

Oh, that dance was just wonderful
![]() Everything about it was just awesome. I'm just so pleased I watched it in 'real time' so the full horror unfolded without knowing about it. Even now it has the ability to brighten the old day up ![]() Can I nominate Anton's rhumba a day in advance ... ![]() ![]() I agree about that showdance, I feel privileged to have been a part of the viewing public that was there as it happened. Priceless. Quote:
Poor old Lisa, can't believe she's still getting stick, even a year on

![]() I agree about that showdance, I feel privileged to have been a part of the viewing public that was there as it happened. Priceless. Of course she is, that was just about THE defining cringeworthy horror-dance of the entire series, surpassing even puppetgate in many people's view. It's going to go down in history as one of those dances that everyone will remember, she'll be probably still getting stick for that well into her pensionable years. |

Anything to do with John Sergeant except his Waltz. Top of the list would be the press conference, closely followed by the ITT interviews and the Paso.
It was the worst decision ever to have chosen him as a celeb for the show. |

Does anyone know if Jo Wood's signed up to the tour? The only thing that would top the dance from last year is Brendan recreating it with Jo

S and Z are quite close on the keyboard I'm sure it was just a typo!
For me Austin going out was a travesty, and the worst dance I've ever seen has to be Lisa's showdance. Just....awful. |

It wasn't really her fault though - she was just doing as she was told.
The heroic failure of a super-model tall woman to replicate the acrobatic movements of a tiny world champion dancer who has the body and flexibility of a gymnast. And the even more heroic failure of Brendan to cope with her height and weight, to his own choreography. And the failure of the wardrobe department, who wrapped her in a bacofoil swimsuit with a tiny black fringe around the legs (was that to convert it into a 'dress'?). The result was awesomely horrific, and it still brings a smile to my face now. Actually I'm giggling silently to myself as I'm writing this and remembering.... |

It's interesting how often Lisa fans counter with Tom's success whenever her showdance is mentioned even though it was an inevitable conclusion after the visual horror.
![]() Her showdance has to be my single worst Strictly moment (visually) as that is all I could stomach but the injustice of Austin being eliminated was the worst judgment and the elimination of Jodie when JS had already withdrawn was the worst error from the production team as imo it led inevitably to the mish mash in the following weeks. |

Most definitely Chambers winning series 6! I'll never understand why people voted for him.

![]() Mind you, I'd got to the point last year, after JS (who I really did like watching, I found him the most entertaining out of all of them) resigned, where I was just watching the dances of people I wanted to see on the iPlayer and ff through the rest, so I missed most of his dances from week 9 (I think it was) up until the second part of the final. Then we got Lisa's showdance, and Tom's showdance. He totally blew me away with that, it was brilliant. She did too, for totally different reasons, LOL. |

![]() Cringeworthy moments are, of course Liza/Lisa's showdance (don't want to upset Lorelei) The puppets Dom Littlewood full stop - how Darren didn't punch his lights out I don't know. John Sargent Chris Parker getting through to....well, anything after week one actually ![]() and sad moments - that poor girl who got voted out in the very first episode of the very first series (the one from My Family)

It was a bit late to show us he had the highest vote after the fact. Quote:
