Lisa and Brendan. Showdance. I thought he was going to drop her!

Dis-arse-ter.

Actually, this was mine as well. As a Ramps supporter I went from delighted that he'd got through to the following week to horrified that Louisa was in the dance-off. I'd been hoping for a Ramps/Louisa final, but it was not to be.

Are you sure? I remember reading or hearing something a few weeks afterward that suggested they were neck and neck in the voting and that the showdance made the difference. Can't remember where I read/heard it though as it was so long ago

Austin & Erin leaving last year.
I actually cried for ages, and I never cry over tv shows because I usually think it's pathetic. I really wanted them to win, they lit up the show, and I thought they would win as well. So a real shocker I thought.

After Matt and Alesha won (BEST MOMENT)and I realised we'd probably never get to see them dancing together again, and they wouldn't fall in love and get married and....... SOB.

Tess was on Maternity Leave so Natasha did the Tess-bit for about half of the series.

Ive just seen the Vorderman Rumba for the first time and feel dirty. It was eye-gougingly horrific. I need a bath now.

I was only going to say that my worst Strictly moment wasn't so much a moment as a particular celeb - Dom Littlewood - but now you mention CV's Rumba I realise I haven't thought the subject through enough yet...I'll be back

Dom Littlewood had alot of moments to hate , culminating in the last dance and Darren having to rescue a horrified Lilia

Hil-ar-i-ous!”

it took nearly a year for my mind to repress the memory of that dance (and i say that as someone who actually voted for Lisa), and i really tried not to click on that link. but . . . argh - it's baaaack!

my worst moments would have to be Matt Di Angelo's reaction to getting through to the semi's (and also the fact that he got through at all) and the whole furore surrounding the start of this series - made it all a bit meh for me

has anyone got a link to dominic making moves on lilia, you tube cuts off after the judges vote

my moments

Tom winning!! based on one dance!!
Matt giving up half way through his dance and wandering off to sit on the steps
Every time James gets kicked out because he's got a bad reputation from one series , let it go people he's good man really

While it was a DS moment rather than a SCD moment....
The day they moved the Appreciation threads to the attic.
I don't post on them, but the entire forum went into meltdown, I had a work deadline at 5 pm the next day and didn't get a jot of work done all day

As the OP on the showdance thread -I would have to say Lisa's Showdance!

But it has given many of us so much entertainment over the past year. I doubt any other dance on Strictly will ever cause such eye popping merriment! The clip with the DS comments in captions is just hilarious!

Other terrible moments for me:

Gary Rhodes - how could they do that to Karen!!?
Tom Chambers Paso face - I was shouting at Chris Hollins on ITT not to do a 'Tom' face during his paso.

Also - Louisa and Vincent being voted off. Outrage! Their jive is still one of my fave dances ever!

I would say Austin being voted off last year. I've never seen Colin Jackson's show dance though so maybe that was worse, I just can't bring myself to watch it

Can't believe no-one's mentioned Andrew Castle's head-banging in his tango. It made us cringe every time it was shown - and it was shown over, and over, and over again...

I loved that thread, I was directed over here from the BBC forums to read it and Ive defected to DS nearly exclusively because I spent the entire thread wetting myself with laughter!

I must say though, I loved Tom's paso face, it was hilarity!
