I to this day have still not got over Darren Gough beating Colin Jackson in series three.

I know the puppet dance was dreadful but I don't think this is what beat Colin. He had to compete with Darren's "journey" and dared to be good from the start.

Yes, I think you are right, although I personally did enjoy Darren's journey. I don't think puppetgate was what actually defeated Colin.

I didn`t read it as homophobic as such - just an attack on Colin for being `airy fairy` as opposed to being ` a bloke`.

I thought it was an unpleasant and unnecessary thing to say at the time

Alesha winning
Gethin leaving
Lisa getting to the final
Lisa getting 3 undeserved perfect scores
The most boring Foxtrot in the history of SCD getting 40/40. (Rachel's)

Seeing Denise and Ian miss out on the trophy in series 2.
Seeing Zoe and Ian miss out in series 3.
Seeing Aled lose out on a place in the final in series 3. (I've never forgiven Julian Clary).

I did enjoy his journey too actually and thought he was a lovely bloke. But I'm a purist, I want the best dancer to win and thought that Colin was head and shoulders above him.

Camilla doing that second Jive with Tom, making him look like a Butlin's Redcoat entertainer.
Gethin not getting into the final.
Arlene being sacked.
Bruce shouting at Craig RH over 'skippygate' - senile fool.
Anything Tess says, particularly what she said to Matt DA and Flavia about their relationship.
Everytime Jo Wood was introduced as a 'model and entrepreneur'
Lisa's ChaCha getting a 40
Rachel's rumba not getting a 40
Alesha's never getting a 40.
Jo Cazaghe's Paso - eww.

Ive got pages of these, I could go on!

blimey I'd forgotten some of those. Did Carol really ring up ITT to hurl abuse. Too long ago.

QF night of Series 6 and Emma and Louisa had received the least votes from the viewers. Suddenly, the Dance Off was born... -and we will never know who had the lowest number of votes!

I would have loved to have seen Louisa in the final that year.

Ok then! lol.

Gary Rhodes 'making pasta' in his Jive with Karen Hardy
Rav's quickstep (Im sure someone else has mentioned that)
Kate Thornton doing the live tour last year, the woman is devoid of SCD personality
Chris Hollins forgetting his jive (because I was hoping it was going to be so good)
Vincent and Flavia splitting up - so sad!
When Tess does that nasty little 'rolling eyes, gritted teeth' thing when Bruce says something silly - its not his fault he is still allowed to present the show
Len's refusal to use a paddle less than a '6' in recent series
Alesha's 'endure' comment to CK
Matthew and Martina being voted off too soon
No more sunday result show
ITT being on for only 30 minutes

Im sure there are more...

The interminable pauses between the announcements when they are saying who is staying and who is going. It makes me cringe every week. Sorry but that is several moments.

One particular moment is the first sight of Mark Foster's see-through shirt with the round neck.

That reminds me of what I consider to be the worst moment of this series Rav getting through the dance off in the first week. His shape and build meant there was very little chance of him getting very far where as Martina at least showed some potential (to me anyway), and then he went out in the next dance what a waste

Not exactly OT, but this bit of info about Martina was published in an interview with Jade a couple of weeks back.

Sportsmen and sportswomen have gone far in previous series’ of Strictly. Are you hoping to have the same success?
‘I hope so, but you never can tell. Martina went out very early which was shocking because she was so lovely. But I think what a lot of people didn’t know about Martina – other than the sports side of her – was that she was so, so, so ill the weekend she went out. She got food poisoning on the Friday and I’m telling you, she was literally throwing up her guts backstage – just endlessly being sick. But she didn’t let the public know, and I wouldn’t have said anything either, because we’re sportswomen.

Oh, the Austin leaving in the QF. That was bad.
And Matt diA not getting the push. Now that was a rank injustice.

Absolutely, it robbed Gethin of his place in the final.
