Who cares if they are good dancers or not?

SERIOUS question sofakat, as a teacher if you had a pupil like Ricky W, who was a natural and obviously enjoyed it would you slate him like many of the people on here?

I think it gets to a point where you develop loyalties to certain couples and support them no matter what.

I feel that way about Laila, Natalie and Chris.

I can acknowledge when they might have struggled with a routine, but it wouldn't put me off voting for them. If anything it means I'm likley to vote for them even more because they are vulnerable.

Im loathe to disagree with an ITT celeb Sid but the OP did say they vote on personality rather than dancing and that its not a proper dancing competition. I just think its nice to remind some viewers that it is for a lot of us. I agreed wholeheartedly with Bruno when he said last week that 'dancing has the abilty to lift us up', its so true for me and although I appreciate that for some its about the J word and the personalities, there is a rather a lot of dancing involved in the show to not care about it a little bit

Me too really, but their approach to the dance and rapport with their partner count too. I'd never vote for a "personality" who performed poorly.

Jade and Ian are my favourites. I think Ian is overdue the win and Jade has real guts and work ethic.

I rarely vote, and never till the semi final as I think it's a waste of money - I voted twice last year and that's it I think.

And how on earth does ANYONE still believe it's for charity?

I agree with this comment.

I absolutely love dancing. My interest, which was originally just in SCD, has extended well beyond that.

However as far as SCD is concerned, I don't think it is just about dancing. It isn't just about personality either. It is about how someone can find a way to express new aspects of their personality through dance. For me that could happen as a result of a progression of poor/unremarkable to very good, or it could be a progression of good to brilliant. The fun is watching someone make that progression.
