Coming from someone who appears baffled every time he attempts to string a coherent sentence together, I'm not sure what to make of this.

Oh, all the has beens want to jump on The X Factor bandwagon. I wouldnt pay any attention if I was you.

Honestly, from the PM to Sting, everyone wants a piece of the pie! Goes to show just how successful the show is, despite its faults.

And you are correct OP, Mr Wright really should learn how to talk before he speaks!

Why the hell would Ian Wright think he has anything of any importance to say?

I used to like him when he played football. Nowdays, he comes across as a complete arrogant tw*t who thinks he's never wrong.

That would have been difficult, seeing as he is pretty devoid of personality

oh that man is so irritating! that live from studio 5 thing is just dreadful, the man has no presenting skills, he reminds me of a schoolboy practicing being a presenter in front of a camera! and if he thinks danni cant sing then i suggest he refers to youtube.

As an Arsenal fan who used to go and watch Mr Wright play football regularly he can do no wrong.......... on the football pitch.
I love watching him getting excited about football still now.

But, this is abit harsh. Dannii has got a huge following this year, more than any other year. What has Cheryl done that's anymore than Dannii to get TV personality of the year...aside from sing a song for her own promotion on the show she works on (not that there is particularly anything wrong with that).
TV Personality has to be about personality and I think Dannii's come across as pretty positive. She's beautiful and she appears to be compassionate and intelligent with it.

Why can't people just be happy for people.

Dannii makes meaningful points and doesn't use the show for self-promotion. So it's no wonder Wright doesn't get her. The way he takes over on that C5 show is ridiculous.

How convenient that of Live From Studio Five's six viewers, one of them is a reporter for Digital Spy!

I'm sure Ian Wright is seething that his career is dying a slow and painful death on Five whilst Dannii's continues to thrive with awards, accolades, and a prominent position on the most watched show on TV. Sometimes it's hard to mask one's bitterness, isn't that right Ian?

My first thought was "who is he?" I mean I knew/thought he did football once, but I don't see why his comments get such publicity? It's baffling.

That's coincidence - I'm completely baffled by Live from Studio Five - I wonder if that will get on the front of DS!

Completely agree with you! Wrighty is one of my Arsenal heroes, I loved him when he played for us and still respect him...BUT he seems to have a massive problem with Dannii and keeps making digs and negative comments about her.

I say well done to Dannii...well deserved

I wish he'd shut that hole on his face.

I've seen him say something else about Dannii recently. What on earth is his problem?!

And really who cares what he has to say especially on the subject of X Factor!

Jesus Ian Wright sure does know how to endear himself to me. First he's a ****** towards my beloved Liverpool FC, now he's insulting my favourite person in the X Factor, TWICE. Now all he has to do is come out and call the Rep of Ireland the England B team and I'll be officially dubbing him the biggest celebrity ****** in the UK.

I'd imagine Ian Wright is baffled by most things in life. He's not the brightest spark.

He has as much right to say what he thinks as anyone else. Why do people come and post on here? Because they want other people to hear their opinions. I don't see anything wrong with it. I don't agree with him but I don't begrudge him his opinion.

LOL. I'm sure he would have his usual attack of foot-in-mouth if the topic was brought up. Didn't someone actually say that recently?

I am Irish btw.
