It seems to happen every year at this time.

Whenever I hear music anywhere, radio, CD, car - I always start thinking about what SCD dance could be done to it. Is it a jive song? A paso? A waltz?

I can almost picture one of the couples on the dance floor moving to the music - or better still - ME! (Preferably dancing with Darren!) I even start twitching uncontrollably sometimes!

Please say it isn't just me who is this obsessed!

Definately not Mamaboogie, I do it all the time. Though I imagine I am dancing with Matthew and sometimes Ian!

I was thinking something similar this evening in the car on the way home from work but it relates to songs already used in Strictly.

'Eye of the Tiger' came on the radio and I was trying to remember if it had been used by someone for a Paso? Did Brendan use it with someone? This happens me frequently.

I'm not fussy - I'll have an imaginary dance with Vincent too!

I do that too Daisy! You hear a song and it just brings up strong images of dances in Strictly.

I do this too!

I also imagine I am on the show and try to think what dance I would dance to which song.

I know it's sad but it's fun too. I always win the glitterball too

I always have a really interesting 'journey' and triumph through pain and heartache, whilst being the dark horse of the competition. And Darren and Lilia take me home for tea lots!

I do this too - I have my imaginary Strictly playlist!

It's only sad if you start imagining the choreography as well.

I have a journey too!

I tend to go out for fun nights with Ian (my partner) during which we form the best friendship Strictly has ever known enabling us to crush all opposition and fleckle to the final in style.

Who would your ideal Strictly partner be?

Spider - I actually 'dance' (I use this word in it's loosest sense) around my kitchen, mimicking moves I have seen! I'm worried my neighbour might look out of her kitchen window and think I've gone doolally!

Of course, I lose half my body weight during the intensive training so that lovely little Darren can pick me up and twirl me around over his head in the American smooth. To raptuous applause of course!

Craig says I was fab-u-lous!

I'm loving this thread.

Your journeys are fascinating. Sorry to hear that you have pain and heartache Mama but the weight loss is a definite plus.

Every time I hear "When Doves Cry" by Prince I think of Vincent and Rachel's argentine tango

I bet you are fabulous too!

I am 5 foot 6 so I expect I would be with Ian (I hope so). I am usually not so hot at the latin at first but half way through the show I amaze everyone with a fantastic samba and from then on it is 40s all the way.

I dance in my kitchen too! I have been cha charing tonight.

When you get into the final, does Darren propose to you? Or does this happen after you've won

I am, of course, marvelous in latin and do the most incredible samba that scores an unprecedented 40/40.

I am now also the person that gets James Jordan to the final.

Someone gave me a link to a site with all the strictly statistics on - including the music for every dance performed over the 7 series so far.

I will see if I can find it.

What about poor Lilia? It would be rather mean of Mama to steal Darren away from her after going home for tea with them so many times.

So.....

Me with Ian
Mamaboogie with Darren
Spider9 with James

Anyone else want to pick a pro partner before they all get booked up (I have a feeling Matthew might be popular )

Well seeing as you have nicked Ian, I think I'll have Matthew (for his height). I would chose Vincent if he was a lot taller.

Can I just point out that I've never really liked James.

But it would be testament to my popularity and all round fabbiness that he could say " I did it with Spider9".

OK...

Me with Ian
Mamaboogie with Darren
Spider9 with James
DaisyM with Matthew (I suspect you will get jealous looks)

If my fantasy wasn't already in full swing with me and Ian I would be happy with James. But I couldn't possibly let Ian down like that

I was listening to a song just the other day thinking it could be ok for a Jive, with a slightly slower tempo as it was really fast, too fast even for a Jive I think (can't remember what song it was now though, it was one on the radio.)
