In that case them they will start with a waltz, suddenly break into a tango, then perform a few rumba steps, return to the waltz (but will repeat a few of the steps) before going off into a jive for a few moments, and then return to the waltz.

No, he's properly tiny. I actually only realised and had it in mind as I saw him on the Peter Kay raider of the pop charts programme recently otherwise I'd probably have assumed the same.

My TV guide is stating Mariah Carey's on the show.

I presume that's a mistake or else the BBC would have been advertising the fact surely.

It might be that Craig is still a contestant! We didn't really get rid of him last week

Ronnie Corbett!!!! I've seen a lot of speculation about who could be in the Tesspit, but I don't think anyone could have seen that one coming.

'Surprise' on tonight's show

Brucie has decided it is time for him to retire, I hope I'm wrong, as apart from Graham Norton I can't think of anyone that could fill his shoes.

According to the Sky's EPG the show will be presented by Tess Daly, Claudia Winkleman and Ronnie Corbett. So I guess Ronnie's the surprise then.

I think Brian Conley would be a perfect successor to Brucie.

I'm sure Ronnie is going to be funny

Perhaps Alesha will apologise for her comments to Craig last week

And he will be reinstated and then Alesha must chose from another one of her favourites to go in his place??

...what? It would spice up the evening

Oh god, can you imagine what would come out of her mouth then - no one would be safe

No, she is on the show.

They just don't go on and on about it like X Factor do.

Strictly had Beyonce on last year and then 6 weeks later X Factor introduced her as if it was some kind of world exclusive she had agreed to appear on their show.

“Paul O'Grady would have been fantastic - love him to bits. He is so witty - wonderful entertainer who can think on his feet.”

Paul O'Grady would seem unlikely or impossible as he has a contract with Channel 4 so I don't think he could swap over to co-host this week's SCD. I think Graham Norton would be the ideal fill-in host but he's on enough shows as it is!

What about Richard and Judy? They need a comeback!

Could the surprise be that no one will be eliminated tonight. Maybe they'll let everyone through to next week when Brucie's back.

Bearing in mind BBCStrictly have just tweeted about someone hosting with Tess and Claudia, I'm guessing the surprise is that Ronnie Corbett with be hosting as well.

Couldn't they just have let Tess and Claudia do it?

I like Ronnie Corbett

Anyone see him falling off the treadmill in the Peter Kay programme about the making of the Amarillo dvd?

Also thought he was lovely in the Piers Morgan interview.

Ronnie Corbett is married to a retired dancer, so perhaps he would know more than many other celebrities about the technicalities; and could it be that they had a run through with Tess and they have a few challenges? Claudia can obviously manage backstage, but Tess and front of house, perhaps that's a different matter.
