If it transpires that Ronnie Corbett is "co-presenting" with Tess Daly then this seems to be a depressing decision made by someone stuck in the Seventies - nineteen seventies that is.

I speak as someone who has nothing against Ronnie. However, the stereotype that two woman cannot present this show without an old stager male is simply outdated and quite honestly offensive to me.

I am far from "politically correct" - I hope I have the wrong end of the stick here and RC is "incidental" but honestly, if he does co-present it strikes me that AreleneGate is not the only evidence of the BBC being out of touch and might yet be joined by RonnieGate !!

I hope I am wrong.....

That sounds like Winkleman. Maybe he should go the whole hog and add the stupid hair, panda make-up and horror movie teeth.

What an unpleasant and unecessary post.

I can't wait to see who will be co-presenting tonight. I reckon it will be someone like Paul O'Grady but the idea of Ronnie Corbett did amuse me! It might be Terry Wogan of course!

No maybe about Mr C - he's credited on the Sky EPG info so he's in it !

Just seen this on the SCD website!!!!

Tess Daly is joined by Ronnie Corbett and Claudia Winkleman to present the popular dance competition, which steps up a gear as the remaining couples head back to London to take to the dance floor, performing either a ballroom or Latin dance.

I do like her but I also see no need for anyone to be so vicious about her appearance. I have just seen you post another nasty comment about her on another thread. How sad...

Newsflash (not really - only wishful thinking) the BBC are going to launch a new star - Hammie the Hamster complete with wheel who will throw radishes at The Judges from within his cage. He will be assisted by the new Ronnie Barker - John from Wales, who has proved he is the man for the job when Brucie eventually retires.

But what would HH do if Laila got bad comments from the judges?!

Perhaps one or more of the injuries has resulted in a change of lineup of some kind....

Verdict - RC utterly pointless, Tess did fine, Claudia needs to slow down and breathe.

Bit of "car crash" tv tonight, sadly, but Tess held it together well.

PS Clearly Bruno having trouble hiding his contempt for Alesha's opinions ..

Not as much as the look on Tuffer's partner's face. The camera hastily withdrew to a safe distance.
