Racking my brains now
When Jimmy Tarbuck withdrew proper- there was still an elimination that week
When Kelly Brook lost her father, she was given a bye, and when she withdrew proper, there was still an elimination.
EDIT: John Sargeant... how could I have forgotten - when HE withdrew there was still an elimination...

Jade (in all honesty) would have been likely to have been saved based on her progress (sssh... journey) thus far
Laila and Latin (well ok ... ANTON and Latin) has a bad rep and so had she been fit, she probably would have been middle-of-board contender...at best

I thought it was Ricky's time to go - and he's lucky to have gotten through... but the good un's are going to start going now...

Alesha's vote never means anything. She always goes opposite to Craig so she's cancelling his vote out.

SCD just lost its credability again - if you cannot dance you are out full stop. It could be the weakest dance that couple are doing but they are given a free pass and someone has to leave at their expense. The BBC will look stupid if jade or Lalia or both cannot dance next week. Kelly Brook was not given a free pass.

But to be honest the whole show was car crash TV tonight - stupid overscoring of favourites, Ronnie Corbett, it looked the show was beingheld together by sticky tape. Time for those execs to start earning their salaries and start spending our money more wisely.

PS I felt very sorry for Jade was looking forward to the Tango but not the drama queen.

Tuffers should have stayed!

I enjoyed tonights show but it was a bit strange without Bruce and as for poor Jade missing out. The result was exactly as I predicted, shame really because Phil was starting to get better.

Wrong - Jade getting a bye. If this were an actual pro comp would she have been 'let through' ? No!
Wrong - Laila feeling she had to dance at all
Wrong - judges seemingly swayed by Cassidy's pontificating about sevens and over marking her - ludicrous
Wrong- Tess 'dead eyes' Daly. Oh hang on - that's every week.
Horrible horrible horrible!
At this rate Jedward will win with their amazing cha-cha-cha

And breaaaaaaaathe!!!! ”

..........and, a word of advice for the remaining celebrities. If there is a dance you aren't comfortable with, feign injury, and come back next week when some poor sap has got the chop.

Blackpool was such a fab night. Tonight full of downers, what with injuries, illness and unexciting dances.

The only silver lining was our Claudia. She is so underused.

It's a question of timing, I think. Jade only got injured just before the live show started. Perhaps, the BBC are ill-prepared for such situations; lack of contingency planning?

At least we have real injuries on Strictly.

Over on Cowell's pantomime show some half-wit has cracked a knuckle punching a wall or something....and has his whole arm in a sling!!

But he's bravely carrying on as Cowell says "the show must go on"...

...why exactly would a cracked knuckle stop anyone singing?

I think Jade should stay in if she can, after all it is for Charity!!

I'd be suprised if Jade can continue in the competition without risking her Olympic chances so there may not be an elimination next week

There shouldn't have been a elimination, what if Jade & Laila have to pull out? Unlike DWtS I doubt the show would ever roll over votes because they have to fill air time with the silly dance off.

It might hurt whilst dragging on the floor!

ITT might get a boost... a lot of people who don't normally watch it will probably have enjoyed her tonight and give it a go.

I wonder who Phil will throw his support behind - I would guess Ricky Groves or Chris

Are you sure it's still for charity? Don't think it is, but I may be mistaken.

Wow, tonight was full of shockers !! I really felt for Laila when she started crying in the routine....and Anton was so sweet. I felt so sorry for Jade too, both she and Ian looked totally devastated.
And the final result was shocking too ! I thought Ricky & Erin were goners when they announced Laila & Anton were through. I'm glad my faves are through but will miss Tuffers.

Gonna have to rewatch. I was so taken aback by Laila's body language both in training and on the show (spotlight). Poor girl cannot abide to be near Anton; absolute loathing, that's what I got anyway.

I know the show was very flat tonight but it really was no-ones fault. As I said earlier i think jade would have gone through as her Tango looked great. The public vote saved the person at the bottom of the leader board - that happens most weeks so I don't actually think the result was affected by the drama.
Hope Bruce, Jade and Laila are better soon and back next week.
