Is it wrong that I hope everyone gets injured this week (not seriously) and can't dance next week bar the awful Natalie? Then she's the only one who dances, automatically in the dance-off with no-one to compete against, automatically goes home....

..........and, a word of advice for the remaining celebrities. If there is a dance you aren't comfortable with, feign injury, and come back next week when some poor sap has got the chop.

Wow, tonight was full of shockers !! I really felt for Laila when she started crying in the routine....and Anton was so sweet. I felt so sorry for Jade too, both she and Ian looked totally devastated.
And the final result was shocking too ! I thought Ricky & Erin were goners when they announced Laila & Anton were through. I'm glad my faves are through but will miss Tuffers. |

I don't know who you mean by that, but Jade's Tango would probably have got the top score tonight, so she had no reason to fake an injury. As for Laila, her ankle swelled up, so she couldn't possibly be faking it.
It just seems grossly unfair that both are through and Tuffers goes home |

Wasn't accusing anyone of feigning. Jade and Leila were injured. Leila hobbled her way through and Jade didn't dance at all. Just saying that anyone can be injured and stay in the competition

The Corbett!
1.) I love Brucie, he's a national treasure. I really, really do but oh my GOD the show was so much better without him! We don't need the naff jokes and the rambling, it was so much slicker tonight. Either Brucie and a ban on jokes for a slick show, or no Brucie for me I think. 2.) OUR CLAUD! See? Why are you not using her for backstage? She has EXACTLY the right touch - irreverent, geeky, excited and yet she's a consummate professional and there's no fluffed lines and automaton type mis-fires like Tess (who clearly is thinking of what to say, it doesn't come naturally). I will give you my first born BBC if you put Claud back there and get rid of Tess! This was your audition! 3.) What an odd show though, not one but two injuries and parts were rushed (the intros) and other parts dragged. I have to say though, Tess did an admirable job out front, in fact she was better there than backstage having to make lighthearted chitchat. 4.) No dance set me alight like last week, very pedestrian this week I thought. Blah. 5.) Strictly rule #66- injure yourself and you're guaranteed a place in next week's show. Laila was a definite the minute Anton picked her up and she started to cry. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, she's proved her worth previously and the Rhumba choreography looked fab, but yeah, it was so obvious. 7.) I am so pleased to see the back of Phil - he wasn't taking the competition seriously, and I was sick and tired of his smug childish antics. 8.) If Jade has discolated her knee then that's surely the end for her? Maybe even her sporting career too? I'm no medical expert, but I know my friend who had the same thing had to have a pin put in and still years later can't do certain things on it. Poor Jade! I was so, so looking forward to their Tango. Woe.

My understanding is that the doctors passed Laila fit to dance but there was absolutely no chance of Jade even hobbling about! Who's fault is it then?
If a tennis player, for example, cant play a match at Wimbledon through injury, would you expect him to progress to the next round at the expense of the person he was supposed to play????? |

Noticed Laila was in the group at the end. When I hurt my ankle I was told to rest it.

But it was the publics decision to save Laila - same way they saved Craig all those weeks and better dancers left, the public often save the bottom placed couple

Gonna have to rewatch. I was so taken aback by Laila's body language both in training and on the show (spotlight). Poor girl cannot abide to be near Anton; absolute loathing, that's what I got anyway.

What an odd show tonight. Still don't really know why Ronnie was there except to do the Bruce-style rubbish gags which wasn't needed at all. Bad enough when Bruce does them but at least that's his thing. Getting someone in to 'do' Bruce was just silly. I actually liked Tess presenting but that may be just a nice change from Bruce, rather than as a permanent host. Claudia saved the show for me, the backstage segments had a light, fun feel that was missing from the dances.
None of the dances really wowed me tonight. Didn't care for Ricky & Natalie or Ali & Brian. They were well danced but the routines were pretty flat. Natalie's dance was very dull and i don't know how she got those scores. Chris and Ola were good fun and I was impressed with Chris's performance but agree with Bruno that it was all a bit stompy and angry for a Paso. I really think Jade and Ian's Tango would've been the dance of the night judging from the training footage. Such a shame she had to pull out. I really hope she's back next week but if not I hope this doesn't go on to affect her career. Felt awful for Laila too and actually thought their Rumba had the makings of a beautiful dance. Glad she got through. Was pleased with the dance off, could've lived with Phil, Ricky G or Natalie C so not too much drama there. I do have to add though, what was going on with the hair and outfits. Natalie C and Erin definitely got the short straw hair wise (and Jade from the little we saw of her). And please can we have an end to the fringing this year? Ali's cha cha dress and Laila's rumba dress made them look huge. Who thought they looked good? |

A world of wrongness! The whole sodding show tonight (except for the notable exception of Claudia ) was a nigtmare.
Wrong - Jade getting a bye. If this were an actual pro comp would she have been 'let through' ? No! Wrong - Laila feeling she had to dance at all Wrong - judges seemingly swayed by Cassidy's pontificating about sevens and over marking her - ludicrous Wrong- Tess 'dead eyes' Daly. Oh hang on - that's every week. Horrible horrible horrible! At this rate Jedward will win with their amazing cha-cha-cha ![]() And breaaaaaaaathe!!!! ![]() Natalie Cassidy is consistently over marked, why would tonight be any different?? I thought Claudia was Fab-u-lous as always.

I think it was a very miserable episode. Couldn't bear watching Laila cry. Was surprised I missed Bruce. I missed Jade too, would have been a good dance.

Leila got the sympathy vote. Not sure this is a sympathy competition
Jade may not even be able to dance again so I don't think there was anything unfair about tonight. |

Ok then. I thought you were blaming the contestants who unfortunately had injuries!
I do hope Jade is fit for the athletics year |

I think, if Jade makes the final, she should get to do her Tango in it.
It looked like an amazing dance and since they usually do one they've already done, it'd make sense for her to do the one she didn't get the chance to perform on the show. I hope she recovers and is able to continue. My heart went out to her tonight. Overall, tonights show was VERY disappointing. Apart from Claudia, who was brilliant (as always) it was just...... blah. |

Bad dancers get the sympathy vote and anti-judge vote all the time, Laila got through fairly.
Jade may not even be able to dance again so I don't think there was anything unfair about tonight. She didn't dance. I could have done that |

How did Leila get through fairly ??????????
She didn't dance. I could have done that Bad dancers get saved from the bottom of the leader board all the time. |
