Oh Dear me thinks you do'nt like her Natalie to go all the way get rid of the smug couple Ali and Brian and i'd be happy then
what makes them smug? I thought that word had been banned due to overusage last year?!

It seems to me that the names are always interchangeable on these kind of threads - this week it's "Natalie" other weeks, replace that with "Zoe", "Ali", Ricky", "Phil" or whoever depending on the OP's preference

she is very wooden dancer and the way she cranes back her neck all the time looks totally forced and most awkward. She has none of the natural rhythm of Ricky W and none of the grace of Ali and it was a farce that she was only one point behind these two far, far superior dancers on the leader board.
Could not agree more but I think she thinks she has

I don't get this "down to earth, one of us" persona that people elsewhere seem to attribute to her. That may be how some see her, but I think she comes across as "me me me". it is all about her, how she is feeling, what she wants etc". The judges seem to fall for it though.

Her dancing ranges from wooden to OK. Her foxtrot was not good, and seeing how it was scored compared to other Fox Trots, I definitely feel she was over-marked. I don't get why Natalie is raved about in certain quarters, as though she is one of the BBC family...

I think they do go easy on her .. she does her 'I'm such a fan of Strictly' routine every week .. and they seem to fall for it and overlook the fact that she is at best mediocre and more than a bit clumpy.

Despite the little miss nice routine she has a 'Tony Gordon' glint in her eye. When she said she had no friends left on the show and so wanted now to win it herself .. she wasn't joking .. trust me .. Laila didn't trip !

Be afraid Strictly contestants .. be very afraid, her years in Walford have given her lots of ideas for 'unexpected exits'.

As for Ricky W .. I don't think he is overmarked .. yes he makes mistakes but usually .. the bits that he gets right are far and away more accomplished than any other dancer .. with the exception of Ali and possibly Jade. The choreography is usually way more complicated and I think they mark him highly because they have already given out fairly high marks to other couples for routines that would be a walk in the park for Ricky or Ali (Natalie, Laila and Chris for instance).

Looking at the marks, it was down to Bruno that Ricky W had a higher total than Natalie C.

All the other judges gave both the same mark.

Len even marked Natalie C higher than Ali. (9 vs 8).

I have never had a problem with Natalie and liked her from the start, but last night she really started to grate on me. IMHO her dance was never worth 9's but the judges always seem to have high praise for her even though I feel she can sometimes look awkward in ballroom. The judges do seem to go easy on her and the whole i'm now a contender thing and wanting 9's and 10's for the first time really irked me.

Unbelievable - can anyone tell me why? People I have spoken today (yes I do go out) just did not understand why Natalie-Thumpa was scored higher than the graceful Ali.

OMG ROFL.
I can just see the headlines now,

"Rabid Strictly fan in attempted murder"

AND. I can't believe Natalie's Foxtrot scored the same as Laila's. Laila's was charming. Her's was dull and bland.

My issue is her posture- if that was a male with posture problems that she has he'd get told that in no uncertain terms and marked down for it.

Natalie gets away with it- that is not fair

I think the only way we are going to get real clarity on who is the better dancer is to get all the remaining contestants to do both a waltz and a samba (for example) on the night. That way the judges will be marking like-for-like. Don't think there is any doubt who would be in the top half of the leader board and who would be in the bottom. Bye bye Natalie!

I like Natalie, I don't think she is smug at all and I love her partnership with Vincent, they are brilliant together. Some people on here are just being nasty, the jibes about her weight in particular are just pathetic.
That said, I do think they are overmarked most weeks. Her foxtrot last night was ok but certainly didn't deserve nines.

i usually don;t mind Natalie, but I can't understand her getting 34 last night, Chris' foxtrot was so much better and got the same score! She didn't glide at all

Iagree.

I thought she did well, her footwork and posture were better, but it was stilted.

It deserved 8s.

But she didn't mark it herself, remember.

I agree 100%. People say Ricky W is overmarked, but he's by far the best dancer in the show. Natalie is obnoxious, loud, condesending, up herself and a royal pain in the arse. She doesn't need her already inflated ego massaged by the judges when she doesn't deserve it. She's nowhere near as good as she thinks she is, her Jive was shit the other week. But she went on and on about how much she wanted to do the jive and how much she wanted a 30.. its pathetic.

Oh and she blatantly lies about her weight, Size 12 my arse!
I utterly agree with you. What on earth did she look like last night? About fifty years old. Awful dress and hair. She thinks she is so good and I hope she does not get to the final. Why do the judges think she is so good?

I completely agree with your final paragraph.

As for Natalie, I too am fed up with the over marking and her pleading. Although she may have been in the right spot on the leader board, to only get one mark less than Ali and Ricky is out of order in my opinion.

However I think the judges make a rod for their own back by consistently over marking as they often set the bar too high in the first instance.

Just read the DS headline article. Is Nat going back on Eastenders?

She doesn't want to get fat again after SCD.

Well, being a fan of Vincent I'm thrilled they got that mark. It was very simply choreographed to show Natalie's steady improvement. Vincent always gives his partners interesting choreography, and he is the Pro who most reminds you of Fred Astaire when you see him in action. He gave Nat some very showy routines at the start, such as the Paso and the Jive, and this Foxtrot although understated, showed how much better her technique has become. The judges could see that straight away and marked her higher. At this stage in the competition, a wise decision. Clever Vincent !
