Jade will not dance again.
I very much doubt that Jade will continue in the competition.
I do not think she will take the risk and the damage at the moment may set her back several weeks as it is. |

I tend to agree with the OP, she has screwed up her chances for her sport which was pointed out in the beginning of the show. I think she will pull out so she can get fit for her next sporting event.

If it was so bad that the doctor told her she mustn't dance then I dont see how she can practice this week and do next saturday too.
From what she said her priority is the athletics so she isnt going to risk that. |

It sounded like a dislocated knee or ligament damage. If its ligament damage...bye bye Jade from SCD.

I'd be amazed if she did - feel sorry for her.

As soon as she mentioned her sport I thought oh no, bless her. I hope she does. But I honestly don't think she will.

This is terrible, to think she may of ruined her sport career for a dancing show is unthinkable

If it was a complete dislocation, it could be months before she can resume athletic training.
Or she could have torn a ligament which might mean weeks rather than months. Either way I think she'll be out and Tuffers should be back in. I think this might happen by Monday. |

I thought the same thing. There's no way she will risk her career for this and I dont blame her.

I think it really depends on what she has done. The injury was so last minute and her career so knee orientated I cannot see any medic saying she could dance tonight - it would just be too much of a risk.
Better them say no to dancing and her get a proper assessment which may, or may not, finish her in SCD. |

Regardless of what the doctors say, I expect her to pull out if she hopes to continue as a top athlete

I don't want to say it, but I too am very much afraid that she might withdraw and I won't blame her if that's the case. Totally totally gutted if that's the case: to quote Brucie 'You're my favourite'

I hate to say this, but as a professional athlete she should have thought about the possibilty of injuries before signing up for strictly...theres allways a chance it might happen. I do however have much sympathy for her with the injury sustained.

I really hope she gets better, but unfortunatly this could of been her last week, dont knpow the sate of the knee, but I did simaliar when doing a level dance, finished a dance on knees went to get up and loud pop, my knee was dislocated. (I also have a joint prblem though so have loose joints) Since then my knee used to pop out 15-20 times a day, had an op to fix it fine for 5 yrs, BUT know poping out maybe 4-5times a week, and painfull all the time.
I really hope that its not this case for Jade, but feel maybe she needs to rest it to get back to her tripple jump Fingers crossed and get well soon Jade Last edited by bluebluecow : 14-11-2009 at 21:01. Reason: spellin crossed wrong |

Athletes get injured in training all the time- in or out of season- so I don't really get your point!

As previously said, lets just wait and see wwhat happens. No medic in his right mind if an injury has just happened would allow anyone to dance on it until a proper assessment has been carried. She could have dance and caused serious damage, let alone sue any medic who said she could dance. the difference with laila was she did it earlier in the day, had been to hospital and had been assessed. Jades injury happened only a couple of minutes before the show, so no'one had a chance to fully asess it.
Fingers crossed that its not too serious, and with rest and ice thing will be alright. She will have had many injuries in her career and she will know how serious it is. As much as we all want to see her dance as she is a contender it is only a entertainment show, she has her caeer and the olympics to think about. Fingers crossed jade we are all thinking about you |

I absolutely love Jade and Ian and would love to see them back, but I don't see it happening.
I so hope Jade's knee makes a full recovery and doesn't end up having any impact on her career. How terrible it would be if this injury caused her problems in the long run. Get well soon Jade. |
