Same here. Chris and Jade are my top two and the idea of neither of them being in the final is not good.
But I have a horrible feeling about Chris ending up in the dance off soon and not being saved over a contestant I'm not keen on. It happened for me with Austin last year and with Gethin the year before. I can just see it happening again.

It does seem as if some people are going to have to stick with the same discipline for a second week - unless it's going to end up being only 1 latin dance this week (assuming Jade does drop out or is allowed to do her tango).

Well for me the ONLY positive I could take from Jade not coming back would be that my votes would not be split and therefore I would give twice as many to Chris as his only chance is to keep him out of the dance off.

jade and chris are my favourites too - but I am pretty sure (having heard from a number of sources) that Chris has done well with the public every week - his dance was the only one I really enjoyed on Saturday

so fingers crossed he'll make the final, I want to see a Chris and Ola showdance!

I've just been thinking about this and apologies if it has been discussed before - each couple has 3 dances left plus the Argentine Tango and there are 5 weeks left in the comp. They can't be planning on doing 2 dances a week until the semi (assuming the 2nd dance in the semi is the different choreography option), unless they introduce a new dance. Is that right or has my maths deserted me?

Does their show dance count?

No, because they would do that in the final along with their best dances / judges choice etc.

Well if thats the case I think its a huge mistake.......its the 2 dance stage that sorts the men from the boys so to speak.

But the two dance stage does often mean a noticeable dip in quality so maybe it's not such a bad thing.

I'm wondering if they're going to re-choreograph an earlier dance again.

I'll join the queue for this!

Austin left not because he danced particularly badly but because he was deliberately marked down so that teacher's pet Lisa Snowdon, whom the audience did not like, could be marked up and her continued presence in SCD6 justified.

All I can say is woe betide the producers and the judges if they try that trick again this year and Chris is on the receiving end ...

I just hope Jade gets to return. That injury sounded pretty grim - especially for an athlete.

you need to insert the word some in there - personally I preferred Lisa and thought Austin was overated

Maybe so, but going by the public vote, Austin won that against Lisa every time.
Lisa found herself in the bottom 2 three times (4 if you count the Final) - too often to think that you are in anything but the minority I'm afraid.

thing is though the beeb never publish the actual voting tallies, so yes you could be right and Lisa may have only recieved 1 vote each week and been hugely unpopular or it could have been as close as she got 1000 votes and Austin (or whoever else) got 1001. Plenty of people liked Lisa, just not many of them post on here!

I love how people presume that the judges are always planning and scheming and are up to naughty trickery. I mean it couldn't be possible that they give their honest and fair judgements on what they see every saturday could it? Nooooooooooo, they are evil! EVIL!!!!

I'll stand alongside welwynrose in the minority - I thought Austin danced in a deeply mediocre fashion the week he went out and Lisa thoroughly deserved to be kept in ahead of him. Plus Lisa kept improving and Austin plateau-ed way too early.

Still no idea how they're gonna resolve this '5 weeks but 3 dances left' thing

Even as an Austin fan I don't think he deserved to come higher than 3rd out of 4 the week he left, and even that hinges on how you judge the relative merits of Lisa's dances (excellent waltz and piss-poor jive) rather than how you judge his, which were both pretty mediocre.

I agree with this but the piss poor jive I'm afraid wins the arguement as to why Lisa should have gone that and fan bias and wanting to slap Brendy hard (and not in a sexual way).

that's a good point, If the rules were different and the couples had to dance their weaker dance in the dance off (Lisa's Jive V Austin's AS) things may have been different.

looks more and more likely that Chris is going to get the Samba but if thats the case then he has two beautiful ballrooms to go after that as he will have finished all his latin.

Natalie must then have the Samba.

Chris presumably the VW (although there's a chance he'll do a Samba too).

So then assuming that they move to double dancing the week after next and will need to have a ballroom and a latin left.

Natalie Cassidy - Samba
Chris Hollins VW

Sorry got interupted mid-post and didn't realise this had already been said

I don't know what's going to happen here since they need to have 1 Latin and 1 Ballroom for double dance week 11.
Cola have 3 dances left - V Waltz, Waltz and Samba so it really needs to be a Ballroom this week and the Waltz is covered by Laila - the Samba by Natalie if Jade dances this week
