Oh god! Ali is going to take the samba into the semi final. She's doomed.

Not if they do two dances the week after next, she'll be doing the Samba with the AS, which I imagine will be pretty good based on her ballroom so far. So even if they end up in the dance off I imagine she'd be pretty hard to beat.

She already did the AS. Her remaining ballroom dance is Tango I think.

Yes, that's right for some reason noted down AS.

In that case scrap my above comment. It'll be interesting to see how she gets on the in the Tango as it has a completely different tone to the other ballrooms she's done so well in.

Yeah. It's hard to tell how she will do in Tango.

Yes after this week Ali has Tango and Samba left ....neither of which are her cinderella type dances so that will be interesting.

Hopefully she'll have some decent music for the Samba, I am of the opinion that her Cha Cha would have been much better if the music had had a bit more tempo.

I agree. The Cha Cha music didn't work for me.

BBC Strictly have tweeted that:
Quote:
“Having learned how to be a Matador, Chris is having to go back to being a romantic dancer - and being bossed around again by Mrs Jordan!”

I don't think that anyone would describe the samba as romantic so I'd say that Chris is doing VW and Natalie the Samba.

Just seen this on BBC Strictly twitter:
Having learned how to be a Matador, Chris is having to go back to being a romantic dancer - and being bossed around again by Mrs Jordan!

So looks like it is the VW.

That music was diabolical.

Whoever thought the Black-eyed Peas would make a good cha cha needs their head testing!

Twitter says:

"@bbcstrictly

Natalie has got a busy week - learning her next Latin dance, AND returning to EastEnders for her first day back filming as Sonia! #scd"

So, I'm guessing that's Samba confirmation then.

The band's version of I Gotta Feeling was terrible, which really didn't help. One thing about the Samba is that it's more technical than the other Latin dances, and not about being raunchy or sexy, so she might actually do quite well in the Samba.

A good example of that is a samba from Brendan and Camilla the other day on youtube

Not generally a samba fan but I really enjoyed this, although i have to warn that I'm not 100% sure that the music matches the video.

This week it seems like there's going to be an awful lot of ballroom also if Jade dances the tango rather than the rumba there goes another latin. Would that mean only Natalie is dancing latin?

Natalie at the moment could be dancing Rhumba or Samba depending on whether Jade returns this week and if she is allowed to dance her much anticipated Tango.
If they don't allow that, Jade is scheduled to dance the Rhumba which leaves Natalie the Samba and we then have 2 Latins.

But the technique requires a definite style and I have found Ali a bit of a 'ballet' dancer when it comes to latin to light and airy fairy

To quote Len but I agree with you - very balletic.

Ali's foxtrot is gonna be praised to the hills because she can walk around prettily. Urgh.

A lot of people are wondering how the dances are going to pan out for the rest of the series - and if there are enough.
Below are the dances each couple has left for week 11 giving them 1 Ballroom and 1 Latin each (6 out of 7 couples):

Ali & Brian - Tango / Samba

Chris & Ola - Waltz / Samba

Jade & Ian - A/Smooth / Paso

Ricky & Erin - Quickstep / Samba

Laila & Anton - A/Smooth / Salsa

Natalie & Vincent - Waltz / Rhumba

Ricky & Natalie - Foxtrot / Cha Cha

I reckon week 12 (QF) will be each couple's lowest scoring Ballroom and Latin to try and improve their scores.
(Possibly this is where Jade will dance the Tango?)

That leaves their highest scoring Ballroom dance and Argentine Tango for the SF and the Judges' Choice plus their Showdance for the Final

With one quick look at these dances I can pick out the bottom two already.

Ricky G and Natalie.

Laila, Ricky W and Ali will float throught their dances and they'll be top 3 of the leaderboard, Jade will get through on sympathy if she does the Rumba or if she does the Tango, an excellent dance and I'm thinking/hoping/praying Chris will be safe on either a great dance or massive popularity. Hard to predict with him actually.

Those were my thoughts exactly. Natalie has the Samba and if she does turn out to be doing the only latin of the night she'll end up at or near the bottom of the leader board purely because the others are all quite strong in ballroom and it is "the hardest latin".

I reckon the judges may well end up saving her over Ricky, with the voting going

Craig - Ricky
Alesha - Natalie
Bruno - Ricky
Len - Natalie

Although she could have loads of public support so I may be very wrong indeed.
