she never said she tripped she said she fell and I am not knocking anyone who has tests for cancer but I just get the vibe she is faker thann Katie Prices boobs.
The cancer test storyline is random, apparently they tested her for bowel cancer beacuse she'd lost weight? Well she's been dancing like crazy so surely thats why she's lost weight. Very unlikely she'd have bowel cancer at her age.

Check your facts. At about 42 minutes into the show Laila says she tripped on the stairs on her way to the dressing room.

Oh for goodness sake ! how many of the celebrities HAVE found the Rumba comfortable ?

And I think tonight proved how well they do get on
I loved the way Anton just scooped her up when it all got too much in the middle of the dance.

Suddenly I really like him, he actually seemed to go all protective of her, it was lovely.

This thread doesn't come over in the least bit humorous to me and the lack of a sense of humour is not normally a problem for me. I find the cancer humour on here tasteless and yes, spiteful.

I don't find cancer jokes that amusing either really. Tripping down the stairs, yes. I would enjoy watching that even more than their paso, and I loved that paso. But not cancer.

I agree with Buddy - and not only is the cancer humour tasteless and spiteful it is also downright offensive.

Buddy, what we know is that having gone to the doctor for extreme tiredness, Laila was sent to give blood. This is a routine procedure to discount a physiological cause and will not only include a liver check as standard (the suspected cancer as reported by an irresponsible journalist) but also thyroid, hormone levels, other tests.

Frankly, it was the reporter in this case that made it a joke so it is hardly surprising others follow suit in the same flippant manner. Not one of us would wish ill on Laila, I am sure.

Ofcourse, no one can say the injury was fabricated, but it was apparent from the VT that Laila was particularly uncomfortable dancing with Anton. While I can concede that editing can distort the true picture, anyone seeing her leaning as far away from him as possible while they were under the spotlight would have to be blind not to see this is not a good partnership for her.

You know you can laugh at something without being horrible, I think the laugh being at a story as opposed to cancer itself , there is a difference.

I didnt see anyone laughing at cancer

Yes. At 42:42, to be precise, she says:
"A few hours before the show, I tripped on the stairs on the way to my dressing room"

I assume the OP is saying that she's lying?

If the public keep saving her out of compassion, then as someone said only with decapitation can she escape from Anton.

How spiteful can people get.

She is having investigations relating to cancer. No one said she had cancer and it is pretty low for people to even make fun of this kind of thing.

BTW I thought Laila said she tripped on the stairs.

Bless you Buddy, you're one of the nice people, but you should know by now what it can be like on here. Take heart.

Really?

I thought she had cancer last week!
What next , decapitation but still struggling on ?
ah bless I forgot that
But she was advised, and presumably cured, by her good friend, St Simon of Cowell, so all was well.
So its LSD now , arhgh ha

Is it just me? I thought their training seemed quite fun this week, and Anton was trying humour to get her to be more comfortable being so close to him. Plus I thought he was incredibly sweet to her in everyway tonight, bless im.

And all of that was talked about by a newspaper and not by Laila herself. If it had it would be slightly different

http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/show...has-tests.html

Now you tell me where Laila has said herself she has cancer ?

There is a difference between taking the piss based on the News of the World and what is real.

Unless of course you think I actually believe she will dance after being decapitated.

I haven't got a clue what you are going on about now. Who said Laila said she had cancer???

If you want to pick a fight with someone then that's fine, but it won't be with me. I wouldn't waste my breath on someone who tries to justify when it is and isn't okay to joke about cancer.

No she was uncomfortable dancing the rumba, which most celebs are.

I find the insinuation in some posts that she sprained her ankle on purpose just astounding.

She was definately not wanting to dance that Rhumba with Anton.
Having said that, she did look in severe pain and clearly had hurt her ankle badly.
She could have been so much better with another professional, one that dosen't make her cringe.
Laila like many others have not enjoyed the Rhumba due to the fact of having to be sexy/raunchy with someone they don't know that well. It's not an easy dance, it's difficult to be sultry if you are a novice. Phyllis Stein to say Anton pushed her is a tad naughty and out of order. Just when you think everyone has calmed down about their relationship someone raises their ugly head/uncalled for comments and drags it all back up again. Was I the only one to see Anton lift Laila with great care and take her of the dance floor. It was like something from 'An Officer and a Gentleman'. Anton is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. Give the guy a break for goodness sake.

Anton was watching over her with great care throughout the portion of the dance she did manage to complete, he swept her up tenderly when she couldn't carry on, and seemed very subdued and supportive during the chat with Tess. When they heard they weren't in the dance off, he was heard to say to her 'See, I told you we'd be okay', or words to that effect. Some have put quite a cynical interpretation on that, but I read it that Laila had probably been stressing backstage that they were out, as they were bottom of the leaderboard and wouldn't have been able to complete a dance off, so would have to concede. Anton would have been reassuring her that the situation was not necessarily hopeless.

I thought Anton called it just right tonight, he did all the right things as far as I could see.

As for Laila not wanting to be anywhere near him (not that I noticed) I'm thinking that she was in pain, stressed, highly emotional and probably just wanted to get the hell out of there. People in general aren't so keen on being touched and petted when they feel like that.
Jade didn't exactly look like she was close to Ian either but I wouldn't read a thing into that.

As for the cancer story, that's the press. Laila has tests for tiredness and abdominal pains wouldn't be a major headline. Weirdly I'm having the same problems myself and I'm damn sure the doctors have not mentioned bowel cancer at this stage. Maybe Laila has just been projecting and worrying like people do to her friends and someone ran with it.

I don't think she's a fake or a liar, and if last night she was then she deserves an oscar!

Yes. It looked a bit sussy to me too. Ironically I have a sprained anke ( fell down stairs last weekend... sounded like a piano coming down!) One thing I couldn't do, even with painkillers, is sit with the affected leg crossed over the good knee, it throbbed too much.
Let's just say she's a decade or two younger than me, and it wasn't as bad a sprain shall we?
