What is Len doing? Yet again he saves the weaker dancer in The Dance Off. So poor old Tuffers is out - he should have stayed in for at least three more weeks before it was his time to go.

Ricky Groves was the worst dancer tonight because Laila was injured and should not have been judged. How brave she was to dance with a sprained ankle - very painful. I was so very pleased she was not in the Dance-Off. After her dance, in my opinion, Len, as Head Judge, should have said "Thank you for dancing Laila - I am not going to mark you and am going to put you through to the next round". Thank goodness the voters have a deeper sense of fair play.

I agree that Tuffers was the stronger all-round dancer, but he fluffed his routine when it mattered

I'm sad to see him leave. But Len and Craig had no choice but to vote him off.

Full marks to Len for integrity.

He's always had a soft spot for sportsmen and Tuffers seemed to be a particular favourite but he judged each dance on its merits in the dance-off tonight.

I'm really disappointed to see Tuffers leave but I can't argue with this decision.

No contest for me - Ricky should have gone. And Natalie should have been in the bottom 2 instead of Phil.

Rickys routine was clean, Tuffers wasnt. Its the first time a dance off has been judged fairly on that dance, there was only 1 mark between them and Ricky came out and danced so much better, his shoulders were more relaxed and he looked good, Ricky may have been in the bottom 2 but pulled it off in the dance off. Good on him and Erin for holding it together and performing well. I am looking forwards to seeing them again next week. In my opinion Ricky was undermarked tonight anyway, he deserved two 8s. Natalie was overmarked yet again. Swings and Roundabouts.

Hope Ricky continues to improve and stays in again next week!

Im so pleased the judges stuck to the rules and voted to save the couple that did the best in the dance off.
Erin and Ricky put in a clean performance and it was great imo. He has continually improved and did a great vw tonight. They definately deserved to go through to next week

Some people just have it in for her, plain and simple.

I understand that judging dancing is subjective, however, quality of movement and technique should be marked over and above a "clean" performance. If one isn't aware of the routine, then probably any mistake would be less noticeable.

Len , not for the first time this series has put ,IMHO, the wrong person through. Maybe it's time to call "TIME" on this panel and have some really knowledgeable and less attention seeking people take their place.

He lost the plot from week one when he got rid of Matthew!!!!! This series hasn't been the same without him ....

I meant from the perspective of her performance. She seems a lovely girl, very likeable, but I just don't think she can dance very well.

Exercising his judgement?

Whilst voting for the best dance? Or is that not what he's supposed to do?

After her dance, in my opinion, Len, as Head Judge, should have said "Thank you for dancing Laila - I am not going to mark you and am going to put you through to the next round".
Good plan, with the one teeny problem that he can't actually do that.

Martina was a mistake but Phil and Ricky G are close in technical ability so errors matter. If it was Ricky W he probably has more content in 1/4 of a routine so ought to win with a fair number of errors over Ricky G but Phil isn't doing something thats much harder.

I think most people agree that without the error Phil's dancing was better than Ricky's, but obviously you can't ignore that error. It comes down to how much better you think Phil's dancing was and how much you think should be knocked off for an error, which is difficult to judge, as shown by the split panel. Personally, I thought the gap in quality was wide enough that I still would have put Phil through despite the error, but I can understand why Len and Craig made the decision they did, so I can't complain about the result.

I would have found it really hard to chose; Ricky G and Tuffers had both improved immensely and were two of the best "entertainers" on the show; very much on a par in fact.

What was interesting is that Ricky appeared to think it was him who was being voted off right up until Len actually said his name and then when they were having the commiserating hug, Ricky actually said 'Len got it wrong'.

I think Ricky has real problems with self esteem.

However, depending on how the week pans out for Jade, there is provision in the rules for the eliminated couple to be re-instated if she can't continue in the competition - we need to see come Monday

I think at least two of the judges would have passed out with shock had Craig done a clean routine!

I'm sure Claudia will spend some time on that on Monday. Ricky didn't seem to believe he was saved ... whereas Phil's partner Katya, before Len actually announces a name, throws back her head knowing it's over the moment Len says something about having to go with the 'cleaner performance'.

Yes - I think he was resigned to going.

Funny old world.
