I'm complaining to both the BBC and Offcom about Mr Goodman's disgusting language and lack of grammatical excellence on tonight's show. He'll have to go.

It helps to know who you're complaining to before you actually complain.

I think you should also mention his facial expressions and hairstyle.

Oh, and don't forget to add that he's a cockerney to the list of hanging offences for dear old Lennie.

BTW - I sincerely HOPE this thread is tongue in cheek.....

That should be : 'To whom you are complaining'

Really enero! You do let the side down. There's a thread lower down to get you changed for next year.

Fleckerl, you'll need to re-take your grammar police exams I'm afraid.

"...who you're complaining to" is late 20th/early 21st English grammar.

Wasn't it Winston Churchill who stopped a Times "Letters to the Editor" discussion on this topic by extracting the urine from the old fogeys with his "A preposition at the end of the sentence is obviously something up with which they will not put"?

So right on, enero! Keep flying the flag for modern English!

Pardon me for interjecting, but can anyone be in incomplete (or even partial) stitches?

If not, then surely "complete" is superfluous?

Certainly not! Mr Goodman is head judge and should lead by example to his underlings. I'm not having it; I pay my licence, I know my rights!

Perhaps I was too hard on Fleckerl.. From his user name he could be Austrian, so one ought to make allowances.
