Archiving programmes

I seem to spend quite a bit of time copying programmes off the Humax' hard drive onto another hard drive plugged into the USB port.

The programmes thus archived are available for playing back through the Humax or alternatively on a computer.

Is there anyway I can persuade the Humax to record directly onto the external hard drive?

No, not unless you can write code & hack the software.

Or, do the eSata Caddy Mod, which gives you unlimited swappable external drives.

Rgds.
