It's a shame some people were so distracted by the costume, as she gave an exhibition of perfect positioning in lifts and amazing leg lines. She's a stunning dancer.

Not much class though.

Well, I agree - obviously! Seems we are in a minority though.

I thought it was a nice dance with some very good moves, but I personally find that Kristina lacks the finesse of the likes of Flavia, Lilia and the others.
Her moves are very overly dramatic where the other pros are much more understated which I find much more enjoyable to watch.

I know she cant be in them all...but I really missed Flavia from the pro dances last night.
I suppose everyone deserves a week off every once in a while though, so I hope shes in TWO next week to make up for it.

I really didn't enjoy it and agree the costuming did the dance no favours. I got the impression that they had tried to put too much in to push the envelope as Matt and Aliona's hip hop samba had received such rave reviews two weeks ago.

I can't imagine why they were and I agree. Flavia is probably my favourite of the female pros to watch but I think Kristana is a great dancer too.

With all this crotch talk and all the injuries they are making it sound like the crotch and crutches show.

I thought it was clumsy in places and I really didn't want to see what Kristina had had for breakfast.

Bad choice of dress for her - a darker colour would have definitely been better for such a lift-oriented routine - but I wouldn't say that means she has a lack of class. That seems a little harsh. She's definitely not the first dancer to wear a revealing outfit on the show.

I think she's a stunning dancer with incredible leg work, but I do agree she can appear a little hard. Everyone has their own styles though and on the other side of the coin, she has many strengths to her dancing that set her apart.

There was no pro solo at Blackpool, so this was first since the Samba, which is my all time favourite. A hard act to follow, and I don't think the Bolero was as good.

He did miss her a couple of times going into lifts, perhaps a few too many lifts in the routine. I actually thought Brian didn't look too well this week, but maybe I was imagining it??

You're right it was a little harsh, i do find her quite an aggressive dancer though, equally compelling and off putting at the same time. And that costume did her no favours at all.

He doesn't seem quite strong enough to keep lifting Kristina, at tiny a she is, i think she's too much for him.

I don't really think they work that well as a couple, visually anyway.

Her flexibility and lines astound me.

I liked the costumes, I think some people just enjoy being 'shocked' by them.

I find it very hard to single out any of the pros against each other. Just when I think I've seen the best dancer of the lot then another one comes out and I change my mind. I just envy all of them their grace, lissomness (is there such a word?) and tone

If you ignore the dress, the routine itself was great. I love watching Kristina dance.

As for the dress, well perhaps either a more elegant ballgown with a fuller, floaty skirt or else a short, sassy latin style dress might have been better than something which was trying to be a hybrid of the two. Oh, and perhaps brown knickers, to match the outside of the dress, instead of white ones might also have been good.

However, an unfortunate dress choice doesn't mean that the routine was bad. I appreciate not everyone agrees with me but I enjoyed it.

I enjoyed it too - very much.

I think the cut of the dress was the right choice. Floaty skirts or long dresses are a big no-no with that many lifts in the routine. However, it was an elegant and emotional song and and so that limits the choice of short dress, as the dress needs to convey the style of song. As her legs needed to be free for the position of the lifts, I think a diagonal "rumba-style" dress was the right way to go.

Considering the lifts they used, I would have perhaps used a darker leotard as the base to the dress. Having said that though, I didn't notice the dress until I saw people chatting about it on here. I was transfixed by her use of legs and feet!!!

I think she looks slightly cheap when she dances, and that's not primarily to do with last night's white pants. She just seems to try too hard to be sexy, and when you're dancing latin to the standard she and the other dancers are reaching, it's pretty much going to be sexy whatever you do! So whereas the other dancers are sexy, I think she overshoots into cheap. A lot of her moves seem to be "look how wide I can open my legs". I'd so much rather watch Flavia, Lilia and Ola, who don't exude that quality. Flavia doing that routine would have been superb.

Overall I find her quite harsh, and slightly frenetic in the faster dancers.

It a question of where you let your eyes go. The problem is in the watchers not the dancers..

Oh come on - those flashing white pants against the brown dress, again and again and again.

If just one frame was a still - better yet - a painting, then the flashing pants would be a powerful eyecatching high-light of the picture and would be subject to 'reading' as such.

To say it is a problem with the watchers is ridiculous - to have missed it may tell you that the person watching was obsessed with something else, and I mean obsessed, or they have no visual sensiblity at all I'm afraid.

I think it was a shame about the costume.

I think Kristina's undoubtedly a very accomplished dancer but there is something about her that puts me off. Not sure whether it's her hair/makeup (general "look" I suppose) but like katie-p said, she just gives off a cheap, trashy vibe. Nothing to do with her dancing, just how she styles herself. Although, the quantity of spread legs lifts she did last night didn't help dispel that image.

Nah, I can't agree. To me that was as near as damit an erotic dance, more suited to a sleazy night club than an light entertainment show. I don't like Kristina's style of dance in any shape or form... and no I am not a prude, I just believe in a time and place.

I got the impression from Breakfast TV this morning that its inclusion was very last minute. Presumably to fill in for a lack of Jade ...
