You're right, there does seem to be a one male/one female rule for TV presenting - which unfortunately usually means the woman is seen as a sidekick rather than an equal.
Tess and Claudia were a good team because they werent playing the big 'I am' - the best thing about Saturday was that the dancers really were 'The stars of our show' - Bruce thinks thats him! The whole thing flowed along nicely with no breaks for forced laughter and ego massage for the host, apart from the ridiculous contributions by stand in old timer Corbett!
