She hasn't been in the bottom 2 yet and there are only 7 couples left. I think she is quite popular with the public. I personally think next week could be a shocker and Ali and Ricky W might be in the dance off.

Natalie is constantly overmarked in my opinion. She's lovely, and I can tell she's living her dream but if she won..

I'd feel a bit terrible for Rachel, considering she could actually dance..

She has as much chance as anyone else.

In a year where the best dancers are severely lacking in the personality department, the likes of Chris and Natalie have a shot at winning.

I'd be gutted if Natalie won, for the simple fact that its a dancing competition and shes not a very good dancer.

Her posture is poor - if that was a male celeb the judges would be ripping them to shreds - and docking marks- why is she being treated deifferently

Of course she has a chance of winning.

However I had Tufnell down as the likeliest winner...which shows how little insight I have...so I hesitate to go beyond that.

I think she must be reasonably popular with the public, but then I thought that about Phil Tufnell who hadn't been in the bottom two before last night, despite being some way down the scoreboard on occasion. Although not a favourite of mine, I wouldn't be upset if she won. She is improving, and I like her personality, but I do agree with some posters that she does seem to be marked rather highly.

Just noticed the previous post about Phil Tufnell. Yep, it just goes to show how difficult it is to predict.

Actually there are four couples out of the seven who havent been in the bottom two yet - Laila, Ricky W, Chris and Natalie.

Don`t think Natalie will win tbh.

I sincerely hope not. It would be terrible if a rubbish dancer won.

If she does win (or Chris for that matter), then the competition is more about the personalities and less about the dancing, which would be a real shame for me.

I think Natalie fits the profile perfectly

- came form a succesful soap opera so already has a large fan base (be honest, how many of you still, on occassion, call her Sonia!)
- not too pretty, so not threatening for the female population, after all "if a plain hefty girl can get success then I can too"
- in contrast her partner is "Phwoar"
- the judges go out of their way to praise her "effort", nice and uncontroversial
- her personality is well edited
- who cares about the dancing anyway !

I think Natalie couldn't have chosen her series better with regard to a chance at winning. The best dancers left in the show (Ali and Ricky W) don't come across well personality wise. Jade looks as though she could be out and Laila's Latin is weak. Ricky G has been in the bottom two twice; his days are surely numbered.

Her main competition for a final place is Chris. I have serious doubts as to whether he would ever end up in the bottom two ahead of her but stranger things have happened as we get closer to the final. Also, if Jade is out, it would look like a two couple final in which case anything might happen as we'd get that dreaded situation where the judges have final say even when there are only three couples left (I hate that!)

I do have to say though that the thought of Vincent winning the show with Natalie when he didn't manage it with either Louisa or Rachel doesn't sit right with me.

Yes if she gets to the final. No if she gets in a dance off with Ricky W or Ali unless they have a bad week and Len has the deciding vote.

Natalie certainly thinks she has a chance (imo), and the judges aren't giving her any reason to think she's wrong.

Indeed, if you look at the marks, the judges now have her up there with Ricky W and Ali. Only Bruno have Ricky a higher mark than Natalie this week.

Also, this week, she talked about getting 9s, and got some. How long before she starts asking for 10s and getting them?

I think Alesha might well vote to save Natalie vs either Ricky or Ali, and then it goes to Len. He marked Natalie higher than Ali this week, and the same as Ricky W.

So I don't think we'll lose her before the final unless she's in the DO against Chris in an exceptionally good week for him.

If it's a 'personality' win I would prefer Chris over Natalie (much as I would like Vincent to win).

It beggars belief really but your analysis has an awful logicality about it. Does this make Natalie the Lisa Snowdon of this series? I can already anticipate with great pleasure and no little dread the showdance. Poor Vinnie.

Natalie's got Waltz, Samba & Rumba left so next week is probably one of the two hardest Latins

Chris is the one to watch with VW, Waltz (both straightforward & should score well) only tricky dance is Samba.

Judges must know how popular he is with public... should be interesting to see how he is scored from hereon in.

I think one reason may be that the judges don't want to be seen as "size-ist" - after all Natalie is a size 12

I don't really mind her all that much, it's the begging I don't like. I could not bring myself to vote for someone so needy. I think she's starting to do a really good job of talking herself out of the final by assuming she'll be there.

However, I think she might well be quite popular with the public.

Oh great so now it is let's turn a blind eye to it. This is where Len and Craig have to be honest with her- because they are not being fair to the others

Funnily enough, I think the opposite.

I don't think she'd have any chance of surviving a dance off against Ricky W or Ali unless the latter two royally screwed things up.

I do think she'd have a very good chance of surviving a dance off against Chris. Firstly, I'd say the judges probably know how popular Chris is and may want him out to clear some of the way for Ricky W or Ali and secondly, I think the judges prefer Natalie to Chris anyway. I know you put "an exceptionally good week" for Chris but I think you'd also need to couple that with a bad week for Natalie. That said, she's got two difficult Latins still to do so it could happen. Must say I'm not particularly looking forward to the rumba considering I'll almost certainly be comparing it to the one Vincent did with Rachel last year...
