I find Natalies puppy dog enthusiasm so annoying. Her so called bubbly personality seems to have blinded the judges so much that they don't realise she has the posture of a sack of potatoes.

Now to Ricky Groves. What a pretentious waste of space. His face is disturbingly smooth and reminds me of a character in a horror film. The faces he pulls whilst dancing makes me cringe and the glasses he has taken to wearing have really annoyed me.

I'm sure all these contestants are nice people but they really do ruin strictly for me.

I do however really like Ola and Chris.”

Oh dear !

You are, of course allowed any opinion you like , but much of this is just very rude and vicious

His glasses annoy you ? ROFL ! How awful for you !

It is , in fact , these " annoying " contestants who make Strictly what it is .

I find others far more annoying , but that is my opinion.

The difference is that the judges have done nothing to dispel these thoughts in Natalie; indeed they've positively encouraged them. I don't think she's particularly shown improvement in the last couple of weeks but she's still been rewarded with higher scores. She's not a bad dancer; she's better than any of those that have gone (bar Zoe) but she's being moved (score wise) so close to the top of the leader board now that I fear the syndrome could get worse. I'd like her to stop talking about scores and/or positions on the leaderboard (just in case that creeps in too) and just concentrate on enjoying the dancing.”

I think she is improving but I kinda agree otherwise - I thought she was over-marked tonight and is a bit clumpy it's nothing to do with size - Tish Dean wasn't a stick insect and she WAS a graceful ballroom daner. I know you've got to believe you can win to progress but I'm finding her and Vinnie's 'we're going to be win' stick a bit wearing. I really hope she doesn't and I'd would probably have rather have seen her go home than Tuffers.

I like Ricky Groves actually - thought he was surprisingly improved tonight and thinking he's actually quite dishy with the glasses on (I know I know .... I'm a bit weird ... he reminds me of Harry Palmer as played by Micheal Caine when he was a lot longer)

Natalie...and....Natalie...and...Natalie.

Ricky Grove didn't annoy me as much this week and he did turn in a better dance than Tuffers in the DO. Sorry to see him go though. It should have been Laila. If that sounds hard hearted, I'm just concerned about the diminishing number of celebrities.

I think the BBC have a lot to answer for here. The sound bites they put out (in the live show and on ITT) are getting very dull and repetitive. I mean they all say the same thing:

I'd hate to leave
I'm having such a fantastic time
X is the best teacher you could have
We have such fun together
It's been a tough week but it really came together on <fill in day as appropriate>

Our opinion of the contestants is largely formed by these sound bites. I reckon that with careful editing they could make any one of them look as charismatic as an an axe murderer.

There's a thread somewhere on suggested changes for 2010 - get rid of the sound bites. And Claudia - I love you to bits - but ask some really hard questions. Then we can start to really get a feel for the celebs.

I quite liked Natalie before the series began. Her "Pollyanna on crack" act is baffling and very irritating now.

Phew not just me who thought he looked good, I mean this is Gary Hobbs we're talking about!

Ali annoys me, she's so flat and dull.

Now that the deluded Craig Kelly has gone it's Natalie and Chris. The "I'm so happy to be here" story and the face pulling have now warn very thin for me. If they were better dancers it might have been different.

"Pollyanna on Crack" what a wonderful description - it says it all. I love you Qwerty Queen. Natalie Cassidy has to be one of the most irritating people ever to appear on "Strictly", with or without her "hair-bow". She could gush for England,
what an over-the-top luvvie and she is becoming a professional beggar" - as a child she must have been in Oliver Twist and had lessons from the famed and fabled Fagin. She jumps up and down like a hyperactive child - it's a wonder she hasn't wet her pants with all that excitement.

She looked rather big standing next to Louisa Lytton, unlike Vincent I didn't think she was that pleased to see the lovely Louisa.

There isn't really a celeb that I actively dislike or find annoying. Natalie isn't my favourite, but it's more to do with her 'sleazy' partner than anything else. I don't care if it is all an act with Vincent, I really don't like it.

Ricky G I'm pretty neutral on, stay or go, wouldn't lose sleep either way. I like Chris but the 'yeah baby' thing is starting to irritate me a bit now, which is as close to annoying as it gets for me

yes worrying isnt it
they start off with 16 and then seem to lose a load on the way!

who annoys me? lazy whinging laila - she is so negative grr and feebleminded.. anton cant be a pleasure so thats probably why but shes getting a fee. she doesnt seem to making the most of her opportunity on the programme

also lady fairypants ali - all delicate sensibilities and needing a lie down in the afternoon - she's like a jane austen overly tightly tied corset fainting after 2 mins at the pianoforte..

ricky ive so much to learn groves - humble? my ar$e!

thats better.

Craig Kelly was the only one who came close to really annoying me, with the "I wanna get to Blackpool" speech, and also his alternately hang-dog and puppy-eyed expression.

I don't find Natalie's enthusiasm annoying, just the judges commenting on it every time (not her fault). It might have been better if they'd given her an Alesha-to-Ricky-Groves "Not good enough!" once or twice. She's not a great dancer (flat-footed or too springy depending on the dance) but she has improved, which is surely the whole point.

I am also another one who prefers Ricky Groves in glasses - he looks much better wearing them!

Only one that has annoyed me this year is Craig Kelly but if we delve into the past I'd have to mention:

Tom Chambers (he gets 1st prize from me)
Matt Dawson
Kenny Logan
Cherie Lunghi
Emma Bunton
Gabby Logan
Dom Littlewood

Thanks for that image. Heaven help her on the wedding night. I'm sure she's not like that in real life, but sums her up on Strictly.

Dom Littlewood - definitely. Craig Kelly, bless. Chris while listening to the judges remarks - that stupid expression really annoys me.

For weeks I really couldn't quite understand why Natalie irritates me so much. You've summed it up! Also she's such a brown nose. On Saturday she added "oh and Ronnie Corbett is here ... " into the mix of how she is the luckiest woman in England. Go back to Eastenders as soon as you can Natalie, you are good in that.

It's odd but I don't find Natalie annoying at all! She just seems really exuberant and full of life to me and I think Claudia said she's just the same off-camera and nice to everybody.

Ricky W, now, he's another matter!

This series, it is Ali who is really annoying me. Like a wet weekend, she is! And before he was finally booted off last week, Craig was intensely annoying.”

What s/he said.

Ali's simpering little girl act really gets on my nerves, as did Lisa's perpetual floods of tears last year (I wanted to give her a good slap and say "stop bloody snivelling, woman"). And Craig's refusal to acknowledge that he was a rubbish dancer was beyond belief. At least all the other hopeless dancers (Kate Garroway, Kenny Logan, John Sergeant et al) recognised that they were not good.

Ooh, it is fun being bitchy!

Let's have some objective criteria for annoyingness! For me it's:

Someone who manipulates the public for votes with their background & private life

Someone who thinks they're the bees knees and think they have the right to win.

Someone who wouldn't know what true grit was if it came up and kicked them in the shin.

BTW Ali does NOT simper. When she was injured she did her dance twice. Her only pain killer the second time was a softer pair of shoes When asked about her leg on ITT the next Tuesday she said. It'll be all right for the weekend - it has to be all right.

Somebody else said it on another thread: he's so 'sincere' he comes over as insincere. Always handing the credit to Natalie; praising Jade on Saturday etc. Now he may be a perfectly nice guy and it all might be quite genuine but there's just something about him that doesn't sit right with me. It's as if he's desperately trying to be liked.

Well I suppose it depends on your understanding of "simper". According to my dictionary, it means "to smile in an affectedly coquettish, coy or bashful manner". I think that's a pretty accurate description of what Ali does!

This series it's Natalie Cassidy and Laila's starting to grate on me a bit now

I think she is and I really liked her because of that at first. I still do in some ways but I'm finding her delusions of grandeur and the fact she's over-marked which fuels them irritating. There's also the Christine Bleakley factor which is that I'm annoyed by her because it's starting to look like she might win it on sheer popularity despite the fact that she doesn't deserve it on talent and that never endears me to anyone except Chris I could forgive it for him.

Ali who didn't cry got very little sympathy and had to dance again. She showed grit with no sign of a simper.
