Why cant people just accept that Tuffers is out?

If Jade and Laila dont dance (and I sincerely hope they dont cos I dont like either of them), then why SHOULD past dancers get to go back? Thats just ridiculous

Disagree 100%. Other people got more votes than him, he was not popular, he should be out.

He was a mediocre dancer, one of the worst remaining, so it's not like a front runner lost out because of Jade's injury.
Because of the way the leaderboard works and the dance off it is highly probable that there are still people in the competition that got less votes than he did.

Yes but someone who is second/third on the leaderboard may still get the least public votes!

If Jade has to pull out, I'd vote with all hands, all feet and all everything for anything that resulted in a three person final.

Tuffers back as the most recently binned, or a non elimination week. I'd be happy with either.

Jade got a free ride into the next show and Tuffers went out. If she quits it is only right he is invited back. Don't forget that she has been in the dance off so you can't guarantee she would have stayed in if she had danced.

There were comments from the judges that Phil messed up his routine in the dance off but I didn't see where he messed up - anyone else?
No, I missed that too. I thought he was better than Ricky G, actually.

I think Matthew C should be invited back and do a routine on his own - I'd rather see Matthew dancing than Tuffers any day.

Tufnell did have the public support but he landed in a spot on leaderboard where people perceived him as safe. Also he was first to dance and ended up sandwiched between Jade announcing she wouldn't be able to dance, and then the drama of Laila. Circumstances totally conspired against him and Kat and it was a very unjust elimination - Jade given a bye, and Laila too effectively as she was guaranteed an enormous sympathy vote.
Tuffers has fought through knee surgery to be in comp and had great chemistry with Kat. Anyone who tries to claim Nat or Chris were more deserving to go through is talking out their backside. Nat's foxtrot was very poor, as was Chris's paso. Those 2 should have been the bottom 2 if it wasn't for women sat at home continuing to mysteriously empathise with Nat, who has constantly been over-marked for being a trier, and bafflingly support a man who gurns his way through his dances.
Tufnell was a potential threat to the judges' chosen 2 of Ali and Ricky W, so first chance he got Len booted him out. People need to look closely at Saturday's scoring. It was as contrived as an X Factor episode with Ali and Ricky W unsubtly given joint top marks to ensure they were made as safe as they possibly could be, with no ties beneath them.
Strictly has really gone down in my estimation. If Gethin's exit in the semi was dubious then there needs to be an enquiry into Saturday's judges' votes. A joke.
Good post. (Although I do sort of like Team Cola)

The rules don't need re-writing at all for Tuffers to be reinstated if Jade pulls out. It's been there in black & white on the BBC site for yonks.

I do think, though, that they should:

> publicly ask him & Katya to return - she'd beat him up anyway if he didn't agree

> publicly ask the remaining couples if that's okay with them - who's gonna say no?

> publicly state that they'll do whatever it takes to ensure a three-way final

The main thing is to do all this quickly, so that P&K can get some training in. I hope that we'll all know what's what by the end of ITT tonight.

On Twitter, Katya has said last time on ITT tonight I dont think she would have done that had something been in the pipeline to get them to come back

I don't think anyone should come back unless its absolutely necessary.

I hope this weeks injuries produce a change to next years format. At the moment the result of one celeb pulling out is a 2 couples final. The result of more than one celeb pulling out means at least one null and void week (or a reinstatement). If they were to have the same number of contestants next year I'd propose having two fewer weeks. If there were no withdrawals it would mean two weeks where two couples were eliminated.

Tufnell did not have public support - that's why he was in the bottom. If he was that popular, even Laila's sympathy vote wouldn't have been enough. We have no idea how few votes he got - he may have been bottom of the vote, and you can't know what the voters were thinking when they didn't vote for him. Perhaps people just didn't take to him as you hoped.

Circumstances totally conspired against him and Kat and it was a very unjust elimination.
He was a mediocre dancer, who didn't get many points, and didn't get many votes. Those were the circumstances, and they weren't unjust. Jade got a bye, but even if she had danced and ended up in the bottom two against Phil, he would have been out as he is a worse dancer than her.

Tufnell was a potential threat to the judges' chosen 2 of Ali and Ricky W, so first chance he got Len booted him out. People need to look closely at Saturday's scoring.
In what way was he a threat? If he had been popular with the audience (he obviously wasn't), he might have won it on that, but to pretend he is anywhere near to Ricky or Ali in dancing ability is really stretching it!

If poor Jade has to pull out of the show - AND I REALLY HOPE SHE DOESN'T - it is purely hypothetical to say who could return to replace her, but if it was possible, my choice would be Zoe and James. She had far more potential than Phil, Craig, Ricky G, Laila and Natalie C and all of them should have gone before her.

It was said on ITT yesterday that the mistakes were not visible to the TV audience.
Another example of shoddy camerawork and/or bad choices by the director.
