Tufnell did not have public support - that's why he was in the bottom. If he was that popular, even Laila's sympathy vote wouldn't have been enough. We have no idea how few votes he got - he may have been bottom of the vote, and you can't know what the voters were thinking when they didn't vote for him. Perhaps people just didn't take to him as you hoped.

He was a mediocre dancer, who didn't get many points, and didn't get many votes. Those were the circumstances, and they weren't unjust. Jade got a bye, but even if she had danced and ended up in the bottom two against Phil, he would have been out as he is a worse dancer than her.

In what way was he a threat? If he had been popular with the audience (he obviously wasn't), he might have won it on that, but to pretend he is anywhere near to Ricky or Ali in dancing ability is really stretching it!
