The Bartons and Windasses - whats the point?
The Bartons never really seemed to kick off and the storyline with Aaron was dire.
As for the Windasses... well, the only character I like is Anna. I think she's quite sweet. The rest of them are and continue to be pointless. |

I don't like that Windass guy with the long hair. He looks like Sideshow Bob.

I know! What's the point of having normal, happy, loving families in soap-land? Don't the producers know it should be all doom and gloom, and shouting and bawling?

The Bartons are finally offering a (vaguely) realistic portrayal of a farming family. I was not really of the opinion that the Emmerdale cast needed expanding further but they have added to the village, I might not personally have brought in three children but I guess you have to think about the long term future of a show, even if one of them might have to have a head transplant.
With the mortality rate in Emmerdale the way it is a new family was rather needed so that the village wasn't filled entirely with LATS and SKIS. |

Emmerdale badly needed new characters and The Bartons have been yet another fantastic addition. Bringing in a real, big family like this has brought Emmerdale back to its roots. I enjoy seeing them on screen and can't wait for what is ahead. Quote:

I just hope the Windasses don't end up like the Mortons. They have more potential though, I think, and they have had a few good moments so far.
I like the Bartons, I think they should be left alone a little while longer. However, I hear there's going to be a big plot for Adam coming up |

Anna is a good character,Eddie is the loser type ,but his wife keeps him in check and cares for him. Gary they are going to make bad guy gone good. Len's character is ridiculous.

I like watching Gary Windass - I think his character is interesting (unlike the one dimensional platt boy). The rest of em I can take or leave.
