I doubt anyone but Joe in the current X factor line up could do it.”

She didnt do it very well though when she sung live. Take it from someone who has played Fantine in Les Mis...

but I do agree that not many of the X-factor contestants this year could do it.

She appears a bit hit and miss with performances, at her audition I thought she did it excellently.

my point was anyone who can make a decent fist of that is not an average singer in the slightest.

As said, I dont particularly find her appealing, neither tonally or musically, but she has more talent as a singer than an awful lot of the x factor group .

Was the audition not live

I think I'll reserve judgement until I hear her on Saturday but having listened to clips from her new album on you tube I must admit so far I am very impressed. I think it's unfair to judge her on the BGT fiasco to be honest, even the most seasoned professional would have struggled to survive the frenzy she had to put up with, and as for the UK press Meh!

Trouble is that Susan sings grownup songs , they are not aimed at the ankle snappers

Just what I think too. Some of these youngsters think life
is all about them.
Heaven help them if they are lucky enough to grow old

I will be tuning in to see what they have done with her moustache.

I am wondering if any mad professors have invented a machine which make her more feminine & Joesphine more manly.

Getting back to topic

I would be more excited to face the firing line than to see that overrated, face like pitbull on pms aka hurricane boyle.

I am, her version of Wild Horses (which is going to be performed this week) as absolutely fantastic, I got fed up with her with the whole audition thing, but she won me over with Wild Horses.

I'm not really fussed about Susan or Mariah to be honest.

I preferred Diversity in BGT and prefer them now.

She'll p*ss all over the x factor contestants!!!

Which I think says far more about the quality of this years acts than it does about Susan Boyle.

Nope I am not excited in the least, we wanted Diversity on there if anyone had to come on from BGT, they were fantastic. Interesting to read here she only got 20 per cent of the vote, what did Diversity get is what I would like to know then?

She has had a makeover ValLambert, so the tashe has gone I think!

I just dont understand all the hype, it was about her looks, had she not looked the way she did does anyone think she would have got all the hype, I do not.

Not excited about Mariah the vampire either, will have to go out when she is on me thinks.

I also think like someone said here that it shows they cannot get anyone remotely famous on this show who has not got a CD being released none of them will touch it with a barge pole it would seem. I can imagine what Mr Elton John would say if asked !

And just for the record where are all the male artists! it seems to be all females suddenly.

I am sure people truly love SuBu, but sorry I am not one of them, and I would not buy her album it is just too old fashioned and can I say to whoever it was who said about youngsters here please..... I am not young at all, does not mean I do not like up to date music as well as some of the really classic stuff like Sinatra and Streisand.

Completely agree. I can't understand the hype, sure she can sing but I much preferred Diversity, they were amazing.

I'll be putting the kettle on when she's performing.

I think she's a good singer, so I won't mind.

She's a bit overrated, but it's not her fault, and it's not like she can't sing at all.
