Hi ,
I have a DORO arc 5R +3 .they are cordless phones.I have Virgin media and caller ID is with the phone package and have phoned them and it should be working.
The cordless phones i have ( make above) have the caller ID facility had them about 6 month.
Ive messed on basically and cant get the caller ID to show when the phone rings !

The manual is on website here - any ideas?or has anyone got one of these phones and can help.

Hi, I couldn't find the manual from that link. Unfortunately the Virgin website indicates that not all phones can cope with their caller ID.

Quote:
“My Caller Display is not working?

For Caller Display you will need a compatible Caller Display phone or Caller Display unit (look for the British Standards Mark), ideally one that meets multi-standard Caller ID. If the unit is dual network capable (should be indicated on the box & user guides), it should work without any issues. Old Caller Display phones and units (in particular sets pre-1999) may not be able to receive Caller Display from a cable line. The vast majority of current Caller Display phones or Caller Display unit are compatible on Virgin Media network.”

It might be the area you are in uses the Bellcore Standard (North America & China) (many cable areas do) whereas the phone uses only the standard BT uses (ETSI FSK with PR(UK)) with a few cable areas also using this standard.
