IMO Brucie and Tess are boring these days and are bringing the show down.

I think we need some new blood.

I really think Richard and Judy would be fantastic hosting, just think of the bickering!

Frankly I'd rather have Punch and Judy.

The person that started this thread also started one where they said they wanted Peter Kay as he is great on Family Fortunes....I think we are bing wound up.

Not sure if we are being wound up or not, but I agree with the principal, SCD does need new presenters.

The show has fallen into the doldrums and needs livening up; it seems to be catering more for the older generation - just look at their choice of (some) guests - The Bee Gees for heavens sakes, and really scrape the barrel why don't we, with Andy Williams.

Bruce is off sick - so bring in another old has-been comedian Ronnie Corbet with his stupid inane attempt at being funny. He was just soooooooooo boring. Why didn't they use the opportunity to bring in some young LIVELY talent?

The show is dying, if something isn't done to liven if up soon, it will be measured up for its box!

Especially as it's Vernon Kay not Peter Kay that does Family Fortunes..........

It's a bit pointless starting a thread about new presenters, when it isn't going to happen.
It's a waste of board space.

Isn't that precisely what they tried to do with Alesha replacing Arlene? And that went down like a lead balloon in the beginning.

Dying? With 9.4 million viewers (and an increase over previous weeks)? Where most weeks, the overnight figures register 8 million plus?

Methinks reports of its imminent demise are premature.

Please no. That would be like the Smurf and Scarecrow (from Wizard of Oz) show.

It went down like a lead balloon because they were replacing someone with huge amount of dance knowledge, with someone with none. It was a insult to the dancers.

A presenter doesn't need dance knowledge, he/she needs to know how to keep a show ticking over and keep the viewers interest - i.e. as Claudia W does on ITT.

I really hope you are right, honest I do, because it is still my favourite show on tv, but backroom gossip is not positive this year.

Ok, it was only when I saw Ronnie Corbett that I thought of somebody who could make a good SCD presenter:

Michael McIntyre!

I know he's everywhere but I think he could be good.

Not sure if ex contestants would be good, fresh faces would liven it up.

Paul O'Grady and Clauida Winkleman should be the next presenters

Obviously not because if they were trying to attract a younger audience you would think they would look at their music acts this year instead of a judge sitting behind a desk. The only 'recent' acts this year were Jamie Cullum and Dionne Bromfield and that is saying something as one had never been on tv before Strictly.

As for presenters I thought Tess did a good job with the judges and Claudia was great backstage if only they could get someone to do the links and intro even if it is Brucie.
