I just think that Peter Kay is about the only person I can think of who is an alround entertainer, mostly inoffensive, talented, able to ad lib, and old enough for gravitas, but young enough to take the show forward.

I would lose Tes and add Claudia to the main show for the back room bit.

I would probably bring in Jill Halfpenny to replace Tes at front of show with Peter.

I will now get my coat.

Is this the same person who started a thread about this yesterday and then we discovered that infact they were getting confused between Vernon and Peter Kay.

Don't think so...maybe both posters work for Peter Kay!

(Ooh, my very own conspiracy theory! I've surprised myself )

Not again!

It has to be someone with "nothing better to do on a Saturday night" in the sixteen weeks before Christmas, this would not include Peter Kay.

No. That person could spell Tess's name, even if they persisted in calling Vernon by the wrong name. This OP actually does mean Peter Kay.

I was watching BBC Breakfast this morning and NODDY HOLDER was on, made me think he could take over as host....Then I remembered his accent would get on peoples nerves.

I refuse to make any more suggestions as to who would be a suitable presenter for SCD after my serious suggestion of The Chuckle Brothers was deemed 'silly'.

There's always Little & Large.

Unfortunately, Mick and Montmorency are no longer available.

I was watching TV the other day and it made me think that Morecambe and Wise could take over as hosts. Then I realised they were dead.

Best avoid it, a British tourist sadly got shot and killed there recently.

What was the purpose of having Ronnie Corbett there? It was even more embarrasing than having Bruce!

I think the Beeb should stick with the two girls presenting, is was a much better job! Let Brucie watch from home.
