That was because he refused to divulge his source despite people asking reasonably. It was only when someone else vouched for him last year could his claims be accepted as legitimate.

I would have thought that a farewell dance is not the same as competing and so not governed by the rules?

The only reason the BBC would prevent them dancing is liability for any further damage to her knee. That wouldn't change if it was just a farewell dance.

Whether they're dancing in "farewell" or "competition", they're being permitted to do a harmful activity by the BBC. I can't imagine them being treated differently.

Thank god this drama is finally over.

I wish Jade all the best but I got to be honest and say I a glad she has gone out and not given us a tainted victory

We get your message - although, quite clearly many of us have been surprised by the cynicism and lack of sympathy you have shown toward Jade: particularly as we took on board your support of non dancer Craig K.

Had Jade been able to continue dancing - and had she won, would her victory have been more tainted than that of Craig had he beaten the odds?

I realise of course that your answer will be influenced by the amount of money invested in the betting shop.
