It's actually called 3 Words and i don't see why it wouldn;t do well. If she has Jay Z backing her and Wil.I.Am working on her album she would get a good bit of interest. Stranger things have happened.

You're obsessed, as well as slightly clueless.

So what if Jay Zed has backed it, it's still shite!

Maybe if it's a success she will bugger off to USA a la Cat Deeley and give us all a much-deserved break!

No doubt a "live" appearance on American Idol will help sales ?

Jay Z doesn't mean hit. Look how many flop acts he has supported over the years that are no longer around. Only thing she has going for her is the Will I Am duet.

But the US media cannot be bought by Cowell and made to print stuff as 'isn't she lovely', 'the natons sweetheart' and so on. So she doesn't have a chance of any lasting success even if she has short success she will be lucky.

Why shouldn't she, exactly? It's a good album bar a few tracks and Will.I.Am and Jay Z both backing her plus Will.I.Am actually featuring on the album is bound to generate a good bit of interest.

People are deluded about what America is. Its a very different chart set up to the UK. You have to sell in each state before you start to climb the billboard charts and that very hard unless you have massive backing. Will I Am is the only star Cheryl has got. The Jay Z stuff isn't true.

Plus. American Idol is not up to Simon. Its not like X Factor. Simon doesn't call the shots on that show and putting on unknown star on it to perform is just not going to happen.

I think a live a cappella performance would go down quite well.

Why would Americans buy it? They've never heard of her.

All artists are unknown at some point.

Leona Lewis managed it and I would imagine Cheryl Cole would have similar support.

Nah, Simon wouldn't shame himself on American telly supporting Beryl. Leona, whether you like her style of RnB warble-horror or not (and I most definitely do not!), has an indisputably amazing voice, and would never have let him down and embarrassed him and the show the way Beryl could. The yanks won't stand for her crap miming and hideous outfits anyway, Britney can barely get away with it and she's a global megastar, they're not gonna let some limey skank get away with it!

Plus, I doubt the Americans would understand her, anyway!

Leona Lewis was sold as an amazing vocalist who could fill the gap that Whitney and Mariah were no longer filling. How are they going to sell Cheryl, as a 7th rate Britney/Rihanna with songs that both of them would have rejected off of their albums.

She may surprise us, but from were I'm sitting she can't offer them anything they haven't already got!!!

Isn't an American version of The X Factor meant to be launching next year? If Cheryl is a judge on that, she would known overnight and would have a chance at performing.

Failing to see the funny side of this thread title. This was revealed a couple of weeks ago anyway.

Good luck to Cheryl.

I think you're underestimating how good Fight For This Love will do. Yes, it's not the catchiest of tunes, but it's definitely not as bad as some have claimed though.

Your telling me you don't find "we gotta fight fight fight fight fight for this love" catchy at all. I know people who don't even like the woman that still find that catchy. It is undeniably catchy to be honest.

Its charted no where else but the UK!

She will fall on her arse in America. As someone has pointed out. People don't seem to understand how the US chart system works.

Who cares if she aint charted anywhere else in the UK? She's doing well here and that's all that matters for the time being.

Exactly for the time being. Just like those before her she will be old news once the next big craze comes in and it will happen.
