I am just wondering why they haven't done so from the beginning. They were just killing time and I guess many people were switching away or doing something else before the results. I was

True, but what about the 2 show plans?

I want to leave it alone, but... ![]() ![]() ![]() I don't mind the idea of two shows but not if it means the results aren't announced live. |

The details on the BBC site say:
I don't see anything that says they will reveal the order of voting, more that it will work as it does know, and has done sice the dance off came in. ![]() Quote:
From the quarter-final, there will be a main live show where the remaining celebrities and their partners will dance for the judges scores and the audience votes. The voting lines will open once all remaining couples have danced their routines. An announcement will be made to that effect during the live programme. Later that same night, there will be a live results show, where the audience voting results and the combined scores will be announced. The bottom two scoring couples will go into a dance-off as per the rules above.

I hope its not a Sunday show - it annoys the hell out of me when they pretend its Sunday when we all know it happened the day before. Putting Tess' hair into a ponytail fooled no-one!

As stated earlier, this was in the published rules from the start of the competition (and it only applies to the final few programmes). So any supposed switching away does not come into it.

So the BBC had decided to mess around with it once again, at the beginning of the series.

Taken as (I) read it (and no offence taken). Last edited by mossy2103 : 18-11-2009 at 18:00. Reason: spelling mistake |

I'm happy with that - it all felt a bit long with it all in the one show.

They should have done it from week 1

Pleased about this. One big show combined felt very dragged and padded out.
If they kept this format next year, but lowered the number of couples to 12, I'd be happy. ![]() Quote:
Yes - they do mean the original 2 shows on one night. I think it works best that way. At least then there's a break to go and make a snack
![]() (I hope they don't ever bring back the results show on Sunday. That was a disaster. Most fans already knew the results by then )Really glad it's gone back to the 2 show format, god forbid it ever goes back to Sunday ![]()

I assume they mean the original two show format? As in, the same night as the main show, rather than making a pre-recorded show for Sunday?

Fantastic! About time, the one show format just hasn't worked. The one show format has really dragged at times, and there's not that anticipation when you know results are there in 10 minutes or whatever.
Plus, I really missed the 'Keeeeep Dancing!' bit at the end of the first show, that was one of it's catchphrases! |

I agree this is not news. It has always been planned that from the quarter finals (5th December) there will be a gap between the shows. Casualty and The Impressions Show with Culshaw and Stephenson will be on after the main show and the results show is on at 9.40 pm.
